This is typical excellant Makita product.
I bought this jigsaw to replace an old one that finally died. I based my purchase on some of the positive reviews about the saw. I have other Makita power tools and have never been disappointed. I am extremely pleased with the performance. It has enough power for the toughest cutting and I was particularly pleased with the weight and handling. It has no frills and needs an allen wrench to change blades. That is no problem with me because I do not change blades that often except when dull.
