California Residents Proposition 65Warning: Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are: lead from lead-based paints, crystalline silica from bricks and cement and other masonry products, and arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber. Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you do this type of work. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does The Job I've had this saw for about 5.5 years and no problems yet. This is a good saw. Plenty of power. Good features. It turns out I don't use the quick change blade system that much because the blades last quite a while. But I use the quick change fence enough that i wouldn't want to use a saw without it. Maybe a non quick change fence would stay in one place a little better though. If you clamp your piece too tight it can push the fence back and sometimes mess up the angle. But if that happens, it only takes a couple seconds to put it back (instead of a couple minutes). I think if i didn't have the quick change fence, i would avoid adjusting it whenever possible. The quick release screw is also a must have. There is a couple things this saw won't do very well. It's not the saws fault, it's just the nature of an abrasive type chop saw. The discs can deflect so it doesn't always cut super strait. You will learn ways to minimize this issue though. Also the disc needs to have a certain amount of PSI on the metal before it can cut it. If the disc is in contact with to much surface at once it wont cut. This makes cutting large solid bars (1.5" thick or more), and thick plates (1/4" or more) that are too tall to be clamped vertically(so it can be cut on the edge), difficult to impossible to cut. Although most of the time you can get around this by rotating or moving the piece so it can start cutting in a different spot. If you have to cut a lot of heavy material you might want to get a cold saw instead. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Quik-Change Chop Saw We purchased this saw about 6 months ago and it is a workhorse, allows for fast change and locks well into a low position when not in use. The guard works flawlessly each time we make a cut. I like the flip lock tension adjustment for securing the product being cut and its quick tension release when finished. It runs stable and cuts very fast. The cutting wheel can wobble just slightly due to its large diameter before it reaches cruising RPM but when its doing the work it always gets the job done without hassle. I definitely recommend this saw for a shop that does a lot of fab and chopping for length. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, doesn't feel as stout as previous Dewalt saw I'm hoping this saw stands up to abuse and use as well as my previous generation Dewalt chop saw did. My previous saw was purchased in 99, and it was used relentlessly for 18 years, before it got accidently crushed. This one seems to utilize more plastic on the motor shield and frame. The mechanism to close the saw and store it isn't as solid. Overall the saw just doesn't feel as well put together as my other one. That being said, it has done everything I have asked it to do with out issue. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will not cut straight PURCHASED THIS SAW FOR A PROJECT IN WHICH I WOULD BE USING 1 INCH SQUARE TUBING AND 2X4 TUBING. TRIED SEVERAL TIME TO CUT THE 1 INCH TUBING AND THE BLADE FLEXIS SO BAD IT WILL NOT CUT STRAIGHT. TRIED ANOTHER BLADE AND STILL CUTS CROOKED. BIGGEST JUNK I OWN.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good saw for the shop It's pretty much like any other chop saw. Its powerful and of course shoots tons of sparks. Depending on the material the cut can wonder just a bit, but just take it easy and it shouldn't. It's been a work horse, plain and simple. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Design I have only used this saw to cut rebar, but it did a fine job. I love the carrying handle and the latch to hold it in the closed position.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Machine! I bought this a few months ago and works great. Like every chop saw the correct pressure is the key. 90 degree cuts and really smooth. I tried a 45 degree cut and it tweeked the cut off wheel so much that it cut into the base plate (picture attached), could have been operator error. Both cuts were 1.5" square tube .090 thickness. Regardless, I really enjoy using this saw. The keyless blade change is nice and the machine is very easy to move around the jobsite. The base is very sturdy as well.
