Doesn't cut straight
Doesn't make straight cuts, it walks away from you even with a small amount of pressure. Slight pressure and you can see the disc bend away from the original entry cut. I should have researched before I purchased - the whole point of buying a chop saw was to help make straight cuts faster.

Does not cut square
Overall the motor and base feels like it has good quality to it. If you need straight or accurate cuts this is not the product for you. Blade wobble and deflection is very real with this product. I do not recommend beyond consistent very rough cuts.

not good
the display model was nice. Mine had to be returned and exchanged because the guard was made wrong and would catch in the blade slot and not retract. 2nd one not much better and wont cut square even after using an angle gauge to dial the back vice in. e slot and not retract. 2nd one not much better and wont cut square even after using an angle gauge to dial the back vice in. Quality definitely seems lower than other DeWalt chop saws I have used. Judging by the stickers, it looks like manufacturing changed countries. It seems corporate profits were put ahead of quality again. You can do better than this DeWalt!

WON'T CUT SQUARE
The rear gate does not lock well into place and will not stay square. The motor mount won't stay square also. Nice motor and blade safety.

Doesn't cut straight. Hub off-center, vibrates
This doesn't cut straight at all. The hub isn't centered so it vibrates really bad and has enough play that the blade can bend away from the part. See attached photo of an attempted straight cut...

DeWalt
This device is a working donkey, it performs the most difficult tasks, I cut a piece of solid steel with a thickness of 10 cm. Before this device, I had a device from a well-known company that did not last for several weeks and burned, and I also looked at a device from another well-known company, but not the quality of this product. It really is a device that deserves appreciation, and before this appreciation for the company that made such a device, it is a distinctive mark DeWalt

Very Disappointed
My first test was cutting 3 inch wide 3/16 inch thick steel angle. The blade that comes on the saw is too thin and weak. By the time it reached the bottom of the cut, it had extreme side deflection resulting in cutting into the saw base plate and unintended angled cuts. I replaced the thinner blade with a thicker 1/8 inch one and experienced extreme wobble and the saw vibrating across the floor. Neither blade would successfully cut through the steel because the motor kept bogging down to almost zero rpm. 3 cuts took me 2.5 hours and I had to finish the parts with my angle grinder that had no trouble at all. I am returning this saw.

Decent build quality, but cuts aren't square
I purchased this just last weekend. Looks nice, decent enough quality, vice clamp is good. Fence and lock down design could be better. I returned to lowes because the cuts are not even close to being square and blade wobble and deflection is horrible. Tried making cuts slow, extra slow, medium speed. I even went and purchased a different blade with the same results. I didn't expect perfect cuts but these were not acceptable for a dewalt product. I've always been pleased with dewalt products from the table saw, drills, 1/2" impact, miter saw, jig saw, blower, trimmer and pole saw.
