This is a great machine, I used it in my uncle turf in Colorado. I couldn't wait for coming back to Italy and also get one over there but to buy the same in Italy is apparently at least double the price. Would love to find a way around this disappointment!

A Top Rate Mower
I chose this mower because of all the positive reviews. Even professional landscapers had nothing negative to say about this machine. In fact, they raved about how it was a commercial machine in a residential cloak. My first impression was that this machine was obviously built to last. From the engine to the frame and everything in between, high quality is evident throughout. I have about 7 hours on the machine as of this review (6/8/22). It starts, runs and performs flawlessly. I found just one improvement that I'd recommend. The flexible crankcase oil drain line is too short and also difficult to access. As installed, it will be nearly impossible to perform an oil change without getting oil on the frame or chassis of the mower. A simple solution would be to install a longer drain line which would allow it to be positioned directly above a waste oil container. I plan to make this modification at my first oil change. Otherwise, this machine meets my expectations for a mower in this price range.

Absolutely amazing!
Absolutely incredible mower. I have a little under 2 acres to mow that's very hilly and bumpy. My old riding mower with a 48in deck took 3.5-4.5 hours depending on how tall /wet the grass is, and after all that the lawn didn't even look that great. My first time out on the Ariens I mowed the entire property in 1.5 hours and now I'm shaving even more time off the more I get used to it, plus it looks like a golf course now. I was a little nervous after reading that some people have had issues but that's consistent with every mower you look at. I was at the point last year where I was so frustrated that I thought about paying for a mowing service but now I love mowing and look forward to it. Very happy with this purchase, if you're on the fence just go for it, you'll be happy you did!

This mower has a few issues I think should be addressed. 1. When you let off the controls they do NOT return to stop, you just keep going wherever they are set at. I think this is a safety issue. 2. The "gas gauge" is pretty much useless, can't see the level in it. 3. When mowing leaves be prepared to wear and get them in your eyes since it blows them out front of the mowing deck rather than pulling them into it! 4. You must have the engine at full speed before engaging blades or the belt will pop off!, I mean like really? Other than these issues and being a rough ride it is a great machine! I have had it just over 4 years and it always starts and runs great, but because of these problems and safety issues I only gave it a 2 star rating.

This is my first Zero Turn mower. After alot of research, I decided with the Apex. I cut approximately 9 acres and I'm here to say that this is a grass cutting beast. This is a rugged machine with plenty of power. The terrain in which I mow is not your typical yard It is rolling, uneven terrain. The mower handles it with ease. I'm glad I went with the Ariens Apex.

Apex 60
I needed a new mower for my home. I do ground maintenance for a county where I live and we use nothing but commercial mowers. I was looking for a mower with commercial features but not a commercial price and this one really fits the bill. It has a beautiful cut while smoothly dispatching the clippings, no lump and clumps. It has plenty of power for mowing taller, thick grass. I am also impressed with the heavy duty frame and deck. My only disappointment is the seat could use some springyness but like I said it's not a commercial mower, but it's pretty darn close. Overall it's well worth the money.
