This saw is perfect
Using this saw is so helpful for certain uses. Its super thin, sturdy blade is perfect for trim or branches and is very versatile. Clean quick cuts and dual side cut ability with coarse or fine teeth make it a great addition to the toolbox.

Should read “Cross-cut” Pull Saw
Should read “Cross-cut” Pull Saw
I lost my Japanese pull saw in the California wildfires. I have also always enjoyed the Dewalt family of products. While the online reviews said nothing about the quality of cut it would produce I assumed it would be comparable to my previous site.
So, I purchased the Dewalt double edge pull saw online expecting it would equal the performance of my previous finishing saw. But, I discovered immediately both sets of teeth are oriented for cross cut, alternating teeth left and right as you go down the blade. The teeth must be in a straight line to produce a smooth flush cut. For example cutting dowels, it should not scratch the surface as it is pressed up against the piece while cutting. On larger pieces this saw left scratches from both sets of teeth that need to be repaired.
Although it has the same shape as my previous saw, in no way does it produce a clean smooth finished cut I am used to.
In the sample photos you can see how the teeth chipped the paint while trimming a dowel. On the jam stock you can see how the teeth lifted the paint while pressing the blade flat to the piece.

Not bad but.
My previous post for some reason did not meet the guidelines. So now I will say I am totally satisfied with this item in everyway.

No replacement blades
Initially loved this saw. I purchased (3) different models of Dewalt hand saws including this model. After use, I wanted to purchase replacement blades and come to find out there are none... for this nor the other two models. I guess you have to purchase new saws at full price? These are my last Dewalt products. You can find comparable saws that do have replacement blades. This is my second attempt to post a review, I hope this one meets their standards!

Bolt Replacement?
I've really enjoyed the saw and it made beautiful cuts on the 5/8" dowels I used to assemble a trellis. I had the saw disassembled for storage and lost the bolt... Does anyone know how to get a replacement??

Saw binds
I have used Japanese pull saws before and have been impressed by how easily and smoothly they cut. Unfortunately, this version by Dewalt binds and sticks with each pull and push. I don't know why it doesn't work as well as Japanese saws, but it doesn't.

Broken teeth after short use
Bought this saw to round out my cutting needs. Usually dealt products are of good quality but this was not. Teeth broken on both sides of blade within hours of use. No replacements short of buying it over again. Waste of money

Smooth cut!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used a Japanese Pull Saw. This saw makes the cut smooth and accurate. Keep your arm straight and its perfect.
