Faulty
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With less than 2 hours of operation it quit. Will only start back on low rpm and if you speed it up to max it shuts off. Very disappointed Will see if dewalt warranty is worth it. TBC

What I've seen so far
So the sander is nice but I'm having issues finding the correct paper size. The sheets don't fit correctly so having to resort to getting full size and cutting. Also I've read people having issues getting the larger 20v batteries on. That was an issue initially but if you take the bag off and put battery on then the bag back on it will work.

Great sander with a great price!
This is definitely a great little sander to have in your toolbag. I have used it from woodworking to drywall finish and it has never let me down. It has more than enough power for any job I have given it. My only issue is with the hand grip itself. I have large hands but the grip is still a little bulky for my liking. If the grip was lengthened it would be a little easier to hold onto. The set clips to hold the sand paper are very strong and hold it tight. I would advise anyone that plans on using this a lot to keep the dust blown out from the internal components after use. It has multiple access points to the inside and is very easy to accumulate dust.

newbie
feels like a quality tool used it to sand the paint off of an old metal tool box and i honestly did espect the power it had. the price aint bad as long as dewalt dosnt give me any probably down the road if the tool ends up needing some maintenance i also thing yall shouldnt design the battery so that you cant use them on other brands then charger us 100 to 200 per battery and charger and their manuals are full of infromation

Battery clearance issue, really!
Just bought this tool, my 6.0Ah 60/20V Flexvolt batteries will not fit the sheet sander. I have no 20V batteries for my 20V max tools, always use 60/20V Flexvolt batteries. I have a large mix of 20V Max and FlexVolt Dewalt tools, never had a battery clearance issue. Come on Dewalt, huge oversight by your Designers/Engineers. It looks like you rotated the outlet on the 5" orbital sander 20V Max (don't own that tool), suggest the same improvement to the 1/4" sheet Sander. Please send me one when complete and I will sent this one to you. No idea how the tool actually works!

Palm Grip Sander
Great sander but it seems you can't find any predrilled sandpaper. Lots of round choices but no square. While it's cheaper to buy full sheets and punch holes it's really a pain.

Poor Design
Quality so far acceptable. The only issue is that it doesn't accommodate larger batteries. My flexvolt 6amp will not fit because the dust chute gets in the way.
