Rated 3 out of 5 by from Eats batteries I purchased this earlier this year and the blower works fine but no matter which battery I use it only lasts around 20 minutes. I complained to DeWalt and they suggested buying a bigger battery. I just purchased a FlexVolt 9 ah and still only get around 20 minutes of battery life. It is a good thing I have several batteries to finish the job. I have many DeWalt tools and am pleased with all of them. Because of this I didn't read reviews before buying the blower but now I wished I had.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Short Run Time and Noisy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as part of a package deal one day ago. I used a new, fully charged 4 ah battery and only got 11-12 minutes of run time at mostly full speed. I knew the Run time wouldn't be great, but i thought it would be better. However, the part that really bothered me was the very high pitch whine the blower made. I read it was supposed to be fairly quiet, but this is not. Is this normal?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blower works like it should [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this a couple of days now, I borrowed a store brand from my brother and purchased this because it's Dewalt, I love this blower. I have a good amount of leaves, this pushes them and pine needles very well. On a full charge I get about 15-20 minutes of use for the 20 v 6AH battery. I will need to keep up on the leaves every few days, this isn't a gas powered so I don't expect it to blow two weeks of leaves from my mature trees. But it's light, easy to use, and I thought reasonably priced. I am glad I purchased this, I've wanted one for a few years and after the chainsaw, I decided I'm going to stick with Dewalt for my cordless tools.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Battery life I bought this for small jobs around my house If the battery lasted 15 minutes i would be done. The battery bares last one minute fully charged Came here to look for a new compatible battery but after reading these reviews i wonder if that will even help? When it does blow for that minutes it is just what i need

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worked Great Until!! Hi Used this blower as a lightweight unit to clean up dirt and various yard debris that got on patio, driveway and deck...etc. It was awesome tool to do the light work w/o having to crank up a gas-powered blower. Had it for about a year and everyone loved it. Well, it's great when it works. I have had many Dewalt tools, saws over the years and always got great performance and durability out of them. Well, this blower is not one of them. It no longer works. Very disappointed. It looks like a brand-new tool, but just quit. Will not respond when I pull the trigger. Replaced batteries with fully charged ones that work perfectly on the other 20-volt tools I have. It's not rocket science, it just died, and I am not sure if it's still under warranty or not. It's a good tool, but from what I have been reading, it looks like many people are having the same issue where the blower just dies and doesn't last.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great blower but short battery life is expected Bear with be, this is a bit long and technical. Here's the deal, there are many reviews on the short battery life, but understand this isn't for fall cleanup of large areas. This tool works great for clearing out the garage, walkway, small driveways, decks, etc. I'm glad DeWalt chose high power over something that can't move much material...you need CFM to get work done. Now the point I'm making, is if you want to move ALOT of air, that takes, ALOT of power. Think of a boat in the water, it takes ALOT of power to push a vessel through the water, if you own a boat you know what I mean with fuel burn. The same applies but to a slightly lesser extent with moving air. Gas blowers are what's needed to clear large areas, why do you think the big blowers have up to 70CC 2-stroke engines?? Not for trying to be loud, that's what it takes to overcome high air pressure and volume...AIR IS VERY RESTRICTIVE!. Something to think about if you want to go all electric. I also wish the battery life was better, but I can clean up my areas in a few min. The 450 CFM is nothing to sneeze at, that's a fair amount of air for a single 20V pack. This blower also dries the vehicles after a wash, gets the water out of the trapped areas. All in all, it's very handy to have around the house, shop, garage. Much easier than firing up a gas blower for small cleanup jobs. I just think many people don't understand how much power it takes to move air, if you want more run time, you will need to go with at least electric.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from DCBL720 Only 3 years old and hardly used. Battery needed to be replaced. With newly installed charged battery, all I get is a "click" when pulling the trigger. Reinstalled battery a few times with same result.
