Finally a cordless trimmer that works!
I've been waiting for over 12 years with my Husqvarna until it gave me trouble, knowing I wanted a cordless trimmer if the technology was ready. Technically, the Husqvarna still runs buuuuut its become a pain in the butt to start and the primer button fell off years ago. Anywho, ff to a month ago and ordered this with battery and all as I have many Dewalt tools that have made me happy. This thing ran fine and I thought, "man, if this is any weaker it wouldn't work", but it did and then come to find out when I was done with the first use I had the power set to low. Already had to replace the trimmer wire on the 3rd run but idk how much wire was in there and I added a good 15 feet and that took all of 5 minutes. I'll try to post a video because all the YouTube ones are way too complicated for how easy it really is. Def recommend and looking to get the edger attachment soon at Home Depot; as I cannot find it here, yet. Btw, this thing doesn't really work for edging as it just eats up the trimmer wire. I may try the leftover Husqvarna wire to see if I can get away with it; just worried it won't release inside the dumaflachë. (originally posted in the MilitaryExchangeOnline where I purchased this for a great price).

People are not replacing string correctly.
I do not have this product myself or at least not yet but I just wanted to Clear up a miscommunication about this product. I have seen countless reviews of people complaining it is too difficult to replace the string on this trimmer but they are just doing it wrong. You see This product has a speed feed head which allows you to replace a string without Disassembling the head I will try my best to describe how to replace the string here but if these instructions are not sufficient you can try reading the owner's manual. If you look at the head you will see that there are 2 distinct parts of the head grab the top portion of the head and then turned the bottom portion of the head keeping an eye through the hole in which the string comes out once you can see clear through the holes in the head to the other side feed around 30 feet of string through the head so that there is roughly the same amount of string on each side of the head and then turn the head until there are only a few inches of trimmerline on each side of the head left and that is how you replace a string on this trimmer. I hope this can help someone.

Battery doesn't last long enough.
If you have a property > 1/2 an acre you'll need extra batteries. One battery last for about 30 minutes. A replacement battery is pricey, hopefully the new power stack be more affordable.

Irritating tool
Line won’t auto feed…my son, nephew, son-in-law can’t get this to feed…and they all have extensive experience!!…the line gets used up after about 20-30 feet
and
disappears inside…got to stop constantly and refeed manually!!! Very irritating to say the least! If they’re all like this I would emphatically give no recommendation.

AWESOME!!
Just used this thing tonight and wow I'm impressed. String that comes with it is impressed too. No bog down at all on my propertys overgrown grass. Nice quality construction seems heavy duty and balanced well. Blower attachment is subpar though, hoping the hedge attachment is better.

Cordless String Trimmer
Everything seemed good on this trimmer until I had t change the string. I have had it now for about a year and I dread when the string runs out. It is a pain in the butt. Sometime I will wait until the next weekends yard work before replacing the string because I am just to tired after mowing, edging, weeding… to restring this spool. So inconvenient.

Leery of electric landscaping tools
I have to admit when I first bought this I was unsure of actually how strong it would be versus the gas trimmer that I own. When I unboxed it charged up the 60 V battery and took it outside I was more than surprised at how strong it was. I have a little over an acre of a yard and a lot of weeds sick brush and it went through it like a hot knife through butter. Very very happy with my new purchase! And with all that trimming that I did it only used a third of the battery.
