No good
It doesn’t find studs consistently. I’ve had to start driving nails where studs are indicated only to find no stud. I’m better off using a magnet to locate the drywall nails. This is a sad product from a company that usually delivered a quality product.

Huge fail!
I bought this because I had many other stud finders but thought because it’s Bosch and you get what you pay for and this was not an expensive. That it would be a great buy. Out of the six holes that I’ve drilled one of them was a stud. You have got to be kidding me . I wonder what would’ve happened if I hit some electrical component gas metal plumbing etc. I would imagine that we that would be very expensive for you not me . You need to do better. Since I was unable to post a photo or video on this review for some reason confirming that I use it properly I’ll post it on my social media platforms instead.

The GWS 120
The device's looks and claims are impressive. It registers electrical and metal pipe work with some accuracy and in that regard has value. However the device is easily confused when it comes to timber against plasterboard, especially if the wood is surrounded by insulation wool. Recalibration doesn't help. Positive joist and stud 'finds' are often thrown into doubt by the next pass resulting in a spread of false positives. In too many instances I am compelled return to the sound of taps, magnetic attraction to buried screw heads, and exploration by a wire insert. It shouldn't be this way. The device promisees much, but fails to deliver.

Waste of money
Paid extra for this stud finder thinking the price would match the quality. It doesn't. It is permanently stuck on electrical and alerting even though there is no wiring in the wall. Calibrating it as per instruction manual does not help as it will not go to stud detecting mode and continues to falsely alert to electrical wiring. Will definitely not buy again or recommend.

Defective product with lots of issues
This wall scanner has never worked properly. It does not consistently detect anything. Now, the battery makes intermittent contact requiring reseating the battery often. In addition, the device won't power off. What a waste of money.

Stopped working after 2-3 uses.
I hung some pictures when I first moved in, then didn’t use the wall scanner for some time (a year or so).
Attempted to use it for mounting a TV recently, but it couldn’t seem to find a stud. Customer service recommended I change the battery; tried that but it still didn’t work.
