Description
The Bosch GLL 30 Self-Leveling Cross-Line Laser projects two lines, making a cross-line projection, for a wide array of level and align uses. This versatility makes it more valuable than a typical line laser. With top-notch accuracy and one-switch operation, the user's leveling and alignment tasks are done quickly and correctly. The laser lines are visible up to 30 Ft. The Smart Pendulum System self-levels and indicates out-of-level condition to help ensure an accurate layout, and it locks the lines at any angle. The pendulum system locks when switched off, to assure secure tool transport. The included MM 2 Flexible Mounting Device provides microfine height adjustment, and it allows the laser to be clamped on virtually any surface from 1/2 In. to 2-1/4 In. thick, for level lines at any height.

Auto-off
Unit autos off after 30min. They consider this a feature. Good luck turning it back on and having it stay aligned.

A level that doesn’t level
I chose this because I thought Bosch had a good reputation. But this just doesn’t work. No matter what I did it flashed and based on a manual level the laser was level but it kept flashing. Also, whole. Punted on the stand, moving it incrementally to get it at the right height is impossible, it’s not a smooth movement, so you jerk it up and down and never find the right height. Maybe it would work better with a tripod and not the included attachment. I’m returning it. (I’m trying to correct typos but it’s not letting me go back so sorry that it’s illegible)

Does not self level *do not buy*
Bought this knowing it wasn’t the best, but I love Bosch tools, figured it couldn’t be that bad… unless it’s 100% level it doesn’t work. Even on the box it shows that it can be used at an angle on some stairs. Yeah that doesn’t happen. The horizontal lines are maybe 15 feet in a completely dark room. Vertical line is fantastic but that’s not needed as much. Will try and return it, but I don’t have high hopes. Basically complete garbage. Should have listened to the reviews.

Don't Buy This from
Not worth the cheap cost
Picked this up thinking that I could use it to level some shelves and get my lights in my ceiling set. It can't find a level and there's no indication in any way that this can actually be level. There's no bubble. No meter. No screen. Nothing. Just the level dangling and blinking constantly. Not worth it at all

Doesn’t Self Level
Set my GLL 30 up on a tripod. Leveled the mount. Adjusted the laser line on the wall with a digital level. It’s within .5 degrees of level with a liquid ball level and the digital level. Still hasn’t stopped flashing. Turned it on and off. If you spend the time leveling it on your own and don’t mind the flashing I guess it’s ok. Disappointed. I’ve had good experience with Bosch products in the past.

Absolutely garbage
Bought this thing less than a year ago and it's so finicky! If you are 4° out of level it flashes constantly. So if you are needing to level something up high you have have the level sitting at the exact height as the mark you're making. Was sadly mistaken to use this for doing a false ceiling in my basement. There is a picture of a guy using it to mark a stair railing .... That made me laugh. I bought it way before I started my projects downstairs and now can't return it. What a waste of money

Garbage product. Shame on bosch
Plan on using with lights off, very dim laser unless dark. No manual mode and self level sucks. You have to have it within a degree of level for it to self level. So basically you are the auto level function. It just seizures and has tourette fits the last second to claim your prize of leveling this plastic box of junk
