Shorter life than plastic hose
This hose was purchased to replace our original 10-year-old plastic hose. The stainless flexible wrap is somewhat loose and longer than the hose inside, so after 2 years and 10 months, normal tugging and gently allowing the handheld sprayer to hang from the hose has taken its toll. The inner hose has burst.

Cheapest materials possible - NOT stainless steel
Bought this today to simply replace hose where the steel wrapping around the plastic hose had pealed off. Attached it ensuring the correct end was on the shower head and it immediately leaked. I tightened it 1/4 turn and fitting cracked. Fittings are PLASTIC and thin/weak plastic at that. The only part on this item that's important and needs to be steel are the screw-on fittings and they're made of PLASTIC. It was a sealed container so I couldn't determine the material and the person helping didn't know. I would avoid Master Plumber products. BTW, Berger Hardware and their personnel are VERY GOOD and I will continue to shop there No store can sell only perfect (and expensive) products so it's not their fault that they can't personally test every product they sell.
