Rated 5 out of 5 by Quasar from Works extremely well! This product is amazing and works great to get rid of layers of fur! I suggest there be two people to help with brushing the cat with this. If you try to do it on your own you might get frustrated. One person holds and pets the cat, also have toys ready to distract the cat while the other person brushes the cat. You will get huge amounts of hair that comes out and the cats feel great afterwards! I don't think many cats like being brushed but this brush does not harm or hurt them in any way and it removes piles of hair. We've been using ours for 4 years now and it is still going strong - works perfect in Spring when they are shedding all their hair.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Zipcat from Not the Same I loved my last one. It disappeared so I bought a new one. Am so disappointed. It does not work well. Catches and pulls on hair - hair does not collect in brush but instead flies all over. No need for hair removal button - tool never collects any hair. Bought tool for cat and one for dog. Both work poorly. Furminator used to be the best - what happened?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hoss from The amount of fur was amazing! Just used this for the first time on my girlfriend's cat and it got off so much fur. In a few minutes we got more excess fur off than the normal brush got off in a week. The tines look kind of sharp, so we were worried that the cat wouldn't like it, but she actually loved getting brushed with this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chris from Best. Brush. Ever. I bought this brush for my boyfriends cat about 2 months ago. The cat is a black domestic longhair, and his previous owner hadn't cared for his fur. My boyfriend bought him a cheap brush, and when he hated it profusely, my boyfriend just gave up. He had a large buildup of matts all over him, the worst of them on his lower back and hind legs. Working for about 5-10 minutes at a time, every 3 or 4 days, we gave him a good brushing all over. He tolerated it in the areas that weren't too bad, but since his matts were so bad that they pulled his skin, we had to hold his scruff for the tougher areas to keep him still. 2 months later and his body is 100% matt free, the only ones left are on his tail (his previous owners apparently had children that carried him around by his tail, so he's extremely sensitive to people holding/ brushing his tail, so we delayed the worst of it to the end of the de-matting process). After each session and his treats, he takes a moment to straighten his fur again and is then a visibly more happy cat. This brush not only helped to shave out the matts on his skin and desheds the excess fur to prevent the buildup of more matts, but its gentle enough that his skin is not at risk of being cut or scratched too roughtly. This brush is incredible and made our cat more comfortable in his own skin. 100% recommend for long haired cats with knots or matts, even with sensitive skin.
