Great at odor control

Previously stained pine

Love this primer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a house two months ago. Even thought we washed everything down a couple times you could still smell smoke. So I hired some painters and they kilz the whole house and then painted with Valspar. The walls look great. There is no smell and nothing bleeding through. Very happy with kilz performance.

Great water stain coverage
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Living in Florida we have a lot of wind driven rain. Sometimes we end up with water stains around the edges of the ceilings, especially if it was a hurricane. Kilz primer always covers. Spot painting on top of that and one would never know it was there!

Great job covering odor

Only product that would cover old cigarette smoke
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kilz primer was the only product we could find that would cover brown cigarette smoke stains on the walls of my mother's house. Her and my father smoked in that house for over thirty years and the walls should have been white but looked like a light brown. Kilz did a great job and with just one coat!

Does the job.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This primer works but it made me hate life. The odor is overwhelming and it's so incredibly thick. I suppose that's what you want in a primer but I'll never use it unless absolutely necessary. There is no cleaning a brush after this so just use one you don't care about tossing.

Great paint!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just painted two different rooms a month ago.we used two different types of paint and let me tell you the Kilz paint was the best! We had a dark color in that room and thought we would have to do several coats but only had to do 1 coat! The other room we had to do 3 coats and it wasn’t even as dark a paint to cover. From now on we will only use Kilz paint! We have several rooms left and already know which paint is the best! Thanks for making a good product!!

My go-to product for hard-to-paint-over situations
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a kid, I helped Dad with our rental houses. I was probably 12 when I helped paint a bedroom where someone had written on the wall with felt-tip marker.
We washed off what we could, but it bled through the paint. I re-coated, and it bled through again. I trued several.times, with the same result, before telling Dad about it.
He taught me aboit Kilz, and that solved the problem. I've been using it for over 45 years, now!

Great performance product
