Rated 5 out of 5 by deckmaster from Loved the 3000 series! To keep my deck looking its best, I stain it every year, and have used Cabot 3000 series for many years. I found it 100% satisfactory in its ease of application, appearance, and durability. I am VERY sad that Cabot developed a new series which includes different colors AND much less coverage per gallon. But I will try the new series next year; thank goodness my hardware store still had some of last year's stain way in the back of the shelf.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Demitrios from Can't beat Cabot 3000 on treated-pine decking I used the "other" product that is heavily advertised and that has been around for years- water based - it is history in months. Cabot 3000 has lasted two full winters/summers of hot NC sun and wind borne salt moisture (300 feet from the salt water) and only now can use a re-do. I've read the complaints and they clearly did not follow their lumber provider's recommendation (and any carpenter or stain manufacturer): ALL lumber/plywood is saturated with moisture and must be left un-stained for minimum of 3 months - preferably 6 depending on month of installation and weather. And, I DO spray it to get coverage in between the planks - works fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by pete from Good stuff but careful in south I used this on my deck and it's preformed very well. In the south, though, especially if you have a lot of shade, any stain that is oil based will tend to get a lot of mildew on it so you should add mildew-cide to prevent this from happening.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dylan from Complaints I have seen a couple people stating the product peeled when they applied it to their brand new deck (this website and a couple others).. When you have a new deck built, you are supposed to let the wood weather 6-12 months before applying any kind product. Just a word of advice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TomR from Uses a lot on new wood but seals fantastic Wood fences need this otherwise you will be replacing you wood fence in a few years. I used this on a basic pine fence- it seals and looks great after 2 years and no wood rot or warping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MPHawkins86 from Awesome Protection for my Log Cabin!!! I bought this stain last Fall and it is exactly what I needed for my log cabin. All the decks and siding can be treated and it leaves just a little bit of a gloss. This stuff is the best!
