Rated 5 out of 5 by from MOUSENATOR Works excellent on SMOOTH SURFACES ONLY IN A CLEARED AREA (wood/vinyl/tile) when a suddenly EXCITED caught mouse jumps / flips upside down and can't maneuver to an upright position using their paws to grasp fixtures / material while trapping only the head in the small trap area. Easy to reload bait and should be "set" only after you put it down. Its' too sensitive to to set and then put down. Won't hurt if it "gets you" or your lazy cat though a reused trap is "contaminated", so use gloves to handle, reload, and set. No poison either. Yeahhhh!.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No good! After a week of the mouse eating the bait and not even setting off the traps and many positions of the traps later, we finally caught our first mouse, the trap only got his one back leg and when I looked at the back of the trap there staring back at me is a pair of beady little eyes still quite alive. As a person who kept mice/rats as pets, I'm ok with doing what I need to do about the wild mice infesting my house, but I don't want to see them still alive. I will be buying either glue traps or the wooden ones that I know will get the job done.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn’t snap down Followed the instructions, put a little peanut butter on as bait and waited. Woke up the next morning to see the bait gone but no mouse caught. It never snapped down to catch. Waste of money

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Trap wouldn’t go off... My wife and I both saw a mouse on different days, we set up 6 of these traps around where she saw it in the kitchen. First night they were set the bait was completely eaten out of every single one without snapping.. the next night 5 of them were eaten clean but the 6th one did get the mouse. A week later I saw one in our bathroom and I set up the 5 traps around the upstairs. All 5 were eaten clean... I did set up one spin trap and it caught the mouse though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful Two sets in my house. 4 total traps. Bait them every day for the last week now and not one mouse. Bait is always gone but the trap wont spring. Thought I would try these because of my kids and dogs in the home. Wont buy these ever again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They Built a Better Mousetrap We live in a wooded area and seem to have an annual battle with mice each fall. While they are no longer getting in the house, I trap them outside to keep them away from the perimeter. I have used many different traps over the years and I think the TomCat Snap Trap is the best yet. Very sensitive, very easy to set and dispose of the mouse, and because the bait is covered when the trap snaps shut, it is less prone to raiding by squirrels, etc. However, I did have a problem with the traps completely disappearing, apparently carried away by squirrels or racoons to try to get at the small amount of peanut butter trapped inside. So I glued two Snap Traps to a piece of wood as shown in the photo, and then using an old trapper's trick I place them in a piece of downspout so that the mice (and moles!) have to approach them directly and they are less prone to interference. TomCat built a better mousetrap and this is the only one I buy now.
