No good in the sun
Replaced an all metal thermometer that was always accurate in sun or shade. This one will read 100 if the sun is on it, even if it is below freezing.

Easy to set up, Basic and Cheap
This thing works well and is very easy to assemble. It is accurate IF it is out of the sun. We screwed a box into our post and then screwed the hardware to this thermometer inside the box, so that it will always stay in the shade. Make sure the box is not too thin or else the sun will heat it up and cause an error in the reading. Overall, I love it.

Easy to read
Was hard to find these outdoor thermometers that attach to the outside of the window. These are the perfect size and easy to read. Have one outside our kitchen window n one outside the upstairs bathroom window.

it is EASY to read. The size (5 1/4") seemed small, but it does not dominate the view out my window; which is what I like. I bought TWO. Kithchen window and patio doorway.
