Money wasted.
The box contained two traps of this type. Both jammed, meaning setting the trap, it would not release to catch a mouse. Broke one trying to "unspring" after the mouse chewed through the plastic to get the peanut butter on the other trap. I.E., the mouse left after it's meal.

Bad
Bought 6 traps and not one caught a mouse. I could not even trigger the trap to snap. I have used these before when the lever was red and they worked great. Not anymore, even had mouse droppings on the entrance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I keep this product out as I am Leary about having mice in my garage. Since using this I have not found anything. I will continue to purchase this. Especially in the winter time since the cold weather seems to bring mice out

50/50
I purchased 10 traps and caught mice in all of them, however, there still seemed to be mice in my household, so I purchased 4 more in hopes of eliminating my mouse problem. 1 trap out of the 4 had caught a mouse, but there was clearly activity around the other 3 traps. I took a look at the remaining 3 traps to ensure they were working properly and noticed they weren't triggering! I tried setting it off and resetting it, but the trigger mechanism would not go off! I am very disappointed because I had purchased so many previously that had worked for me, but happened to buy some bad apples and unfortunately waste money. I heard a mouse and saw one in my pantry so I hope I am able to find a solution that will actually work for me because its been an issue for far too long :(

Mouse went in twice, didn't work
A mouse went in twice, stayed inside for a few seconds, and left without anything being triggered. I have cameras to catch mouse activity, and the video is very clear. I also used the attractant gel. Would not recommend.

Works Like a Charm
Purchased this product two days ago after discovering a mouse had entered my basement. I set it up with peanut butter and placed in on the basement foundation ledge that afternoon. The next morning, the mouse was captured. Set up the second trap yesterday and found Mr. Mouse had a buddy who was captured as well. Very pleased with this product and would recommend it.

New design does NOT work like the old ones
We've used these exclusively in our 164 year old house until recently. The new ones simply do NOT spring. So disappointed as these were our old reliable go tos to get those little critters.

Kitchen cabinet success!
I have been using the catch and contain traps for a few years with much success inside my baking cabinet along with adding good storage containers. Most recently, I have been placing one atop a storage container each night and caught mice for six nights in a row. Each time, I find less droppings remaining, so I know I'm making good progress. I switched to peanut butter with sesame seeds embedded in it a few years ago when attractant gel didn't seem to work well.
The first night, it looked like friends had tried to help free the captured mouse. The trap was moved and tumbled out of the cabinet when I opened it! Same thing second night. However, as more were captured, the trap seems less disturbed. I always place the trap on top of a paper towel so that I am able to assess activity better.
BTW, My success has not been nearly as good when I tried these along the baseboard. Not sure why.
Hope this feedback is helpful. Only wish you could make these more affordable when purchased in quantity.

Won't set
I'm a pro mouse trapper living in the woods. I bought a 2 pack of these traps to try them out as an upgrade to the old fashioned wooden snap traps. When I try to set them they won't set. Total waste of money.

This just doesn't work
Had these Traps for about a month I actually caught a mouse in my empty trash can before these traps actually caught anything. This mouse is bold it goes in and out of the trap like it's a home. This is garbage and I've used these types in the past with no issues. And no I don't have the original receipt to take advantage of the guarantee. But I can guarantee that these are garbage. I'd give it a zero if I could as I watch ratatouille scurry across my kitchen floor!

Strong/smart mice?
I have used this type of mouse trap for years and have always been pleased with the results. I recently purchased them when I noticed droppings at my mom’s house. I put peanut butter in the bait reservoir and sat back waiting to catching some mice. After a week, still nothing!! I just pulled the traps and all five of them had the bait door open and the peanut butter licked clean! I put more peanut butter in and taped the door shut. If this doesn’t work, I’ll be asking for my money back.

Great mouse trap
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy set up and mess free mouse trap for the home. Small and compact in size design so you can put it virtually anywhere where the mice could be hiding. Solid construction; no worries about trap being broken open. Great product.

Simply does not work
After trapping two mice in my car trunk with old fashioned wood and wire snap traps I bought several less messy traps, including several Kill & Contain. I tried setting the trips without food first to understand how they work. THEY DONT WORK! I tried sticking a pen and then a dowel everywhere totrip it but it stays set. I even dropped them on the ground but they did not trip. No wonder others wrote about mice not tripping them.

What happened???
I have used this particular trap for a couple of years, very successfully I might add. I recently bought a bunch placed them in my basement and in crawl spaces around my home. Every single one of them failed miserably. The mice go in, eat the bait and come back out unharmed. They never triggered. Not one of them. Several of the traps had the bait door ripped off. I'm not sure what TomCat did to modify this trap but they ruined it. What a waste of money. I'm so disgusted.....

Not triggering
I have bought these in the past and loved them. This time I bought 3 2 packs and put out a few and got nothing for 3 days. So I figured I would see if I could get them to trigger myself. I was shocked that I could put a spoon handle inside and nothing I tried everything to get them to go off. The only thing that worked was banging them hard on the counter. I don’t know what you’ve done to this to change it but 6 different ones and only 1 worked.
