Roundup 35.2 oz. Concentrate Super Weed & Grass Killer. It is the economical, effective way to handle larger areas. Use around flowers, shrubs and trees, on patios, walkways, driveways, gravel areas and mulch beds, along fences, edging and foundations. It is also effective on large areas such as lawn replacements or garden plot preparation. For best results, add 2.5 fl. oz. of the concentrate to 1 gallon of water in a Roundup Brand Premium Sprayer. Disappointed results!
I have used roundup in many different forms for 31 yrs. For the last approximately 20 yrs I have bought a concentrate and mixed my own. I ran out this summer from a previous purchase the year before and purchased the super concentrate. It doesn’t work. 4 applications, 8 gallons mixed no results. I have been a loyal roundup person but I have to recommend not purchasing. Extremely disappointed.

What a waste of money
Mixed according to the direction 2.5oz to a gallon of water. Sprayed 16 gallons and here we are 24 hours later and not a single dead weed.

Hard water apparently kills the effectiveness
The reason I bought this product was because I had a large container of the premixed stuff in which the solids crashed out and repeatedly clogged the inline filter of my tank sprayer. I believe that it was because I didn't store it correctly (too cold) and didn't agitate it before use. It was only after I disposed of it did I realize what had probably happened.
So, I went out bought this product the same day I had the issue with the premixed stuff. Using the instructions, I made up a gallon using city water. I also added a blue marking dye. I sprayed the entire gallon but after a week, no results. But the spots I sprayed on the same day with the premixed stuff were already dead/dying.
I did some research and found that some professionals use a water conditioner like Ammonium Sulfate (AMS) to treat hard water prior to mixing in Roundup. The explanation is that the minerals in the hard water react with active ingredient in Roundup and reduce or even completely negate the effectiveness. AMS allegedly reacts with the minerals in the hard water that would otherwise react with the active ingredient.
So, to test the notion that hard water negatively effects the active ingredient in Roundup, I decided to use distilled water to make up another gallon (I already knew that we have hard water). That was it. All the spots I sprayed using the mix made with distilled water were dead/dying within a few days.
I don't know if I will purchase a water conditioner for the next time I need to use this stuff because distilled water is easier to find.
So, if you're having issues with this product not working, you might try a water conditioner made for hard water or some distilled water. It's important to note that treatments for hard water need to be added to the water prior to adding Roundup.

Nothing Yet
I made about 15 gallons and spread thoroughly. I didnt see any results after a few days so I mowed the area again and spread another 15 gallons, adding enough concentrate for 20 gallons just in case. Grass continues to grow. Spent a lot of money for a gallon of this stuff and so far it seems the cheaper stuff works a lot better.

Didn’t work
I followed the directions exactly and it didn’t work. I turned over my garden and wanted to plant turnip and mustard greens, but I had a layer of nutsedge come up. I sprayed it with a pump up sprayer and although the nutsedge showed splotches of yellow, two weeks later it rained and it all turned back green again.

A question about using Roundup in flowerpots
I have used Roundup for years but as I get older I have begun to plant more annuals and other plants in larger pots. can I use a spray bottle with diluted Roundup to spray small but prolific weeds in those pots being careful to block spray from getting on my flower plant. I have used it in my flower gardens for a long time with no problems as long as there is no wind and I don’t get close to my plants.

Keeps the weeds and grass away for a year
We have a small farm with a very long, and large, gravel driveway. We use this once a year to control grasses and weeds that grow in the gravel driveway as well as controlling grasses around our barn, under our trees, and on the sidewalks. This also knocked out poison ivy in a few spots if applied thick enough. Combined with a Stihl backpack sprayer, we couldn’t be happier. For mixing, add water slowly as others have suggested. It will foam with fast water flow and can overspill if not careful. When applying, we walk backwards and spray in front of us to prevent walking through the chemical. One bottle/container covers everything we need. We’ve applied annually for the last three years and have noticed less and less return growth. Results are noticed in a few days.
