Rated 5 out of 5 by Doc_W from Great product. Easy to use. Easy to control. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product. Easy to use. Easy to control. I've had the manual version of this for a number of years, but this just makes it so much easier to control where I'm casting out whatever I have in the spreader.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dissatisfied customer2 from Not very well built. Does not last long I have used this 4 times with great success. On the 5 time the edge guard broke and was preventing the spreader from working. after messing around with it for a short time ,I got it working well enough to finish fertilizing the lawn. My friend had the same problem with her spreader. Both spreaders have been put it into the trash.

Rated 1 out of 5 by mrhonorama from Defective Mine simply doesn't work. The black part that I presume should open up so the fertilizer can go through the spreader doesn't open, so it makes a lot of noise and doesn't do anything.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ZevonPfan from Great idea, design leaves something to be desired I've used this product for four years. I don't know if it has been improved, but my model clogs easily, seems underpowered with four AA batteries and has a battery compartment held together with a tiny Phillips head screw that is easy to lose. I've managed to overcome these over years of trial and error but it can be frustrating. Let me say this before getting into it - I have never used anything but Scotts fertilizers in this device, so any clogs that I speak of can't be blamed on someone else's fertilizer. I use it four times a year, 20 minutes per, use fresh batteries every time, and I remove the batteries after each use. I've learned not to fill the reservoir more than 1/3 at a time. Too much - more than half - and it seems to clog as I use it. I carry an 8 oz. grocery store mushroom cup filled with fertilizer to refill as I go, but I make at least 8-10 trips back to the bag when fertilizing the lawn. It's smart to clean out the rotary device at that point because even with a small bit of fertilizer left in the reservoir it can and often will clog mid-pass. You would think it would have the energy to keep going but it doesn't. You need patience to work with this device. As far as the battery compartment I would have thought that Velcro or a slide-and-snap device would be a better closure than the small screw, which, if lost, well... When adding/pulling batteries I just unscrew it, put the screw in a safe place, put in the batteries and strap it down securely with duct tape. When I'm done I pull the batteries so they won't go bad until I use it again and replace the screw until the next use. I don't know why I even bother with the screw anymore. Using this device is like using an old car that hiccups between gear shifts but you've learned its idiosyncrasies and can compensate as you go along. I hope it has been improved but, if not, I'm not sure I would buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sundaycruzin from The Wizz is just that! I’ve used mine all summer. It works great. I like almost better than my drop spreader. This is a real winner. I had the older crank model. Battery operation is the way to go. You won’t be disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Janeway5 from Product not working. Motor stops and starts. Bought the product if you want to go and use it once. It was OK the first time. Second time however having trouble with the motor. It stops and starts. Checked the batteries and they’re OK.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DanO3154 from Didn’t hold up Love the concept. I used it one summer and by the end of the summer it would t last more than a minute with fresh batteries. It is extremely under powered my the four AA batteries. I tossed it and got a traditional spreader again. Everyone I did use it I put in fresh premium lithium batteries to get it to function.
