Description
Plants need the correct pH (acidity/alkalinity) level which controls how well plants utilize the nutrients available in your soil. All plants have a pH preference, so it is important to know the pH level of your soil. You can then choose plants with the same pH preferences, avoid those that will not do well in your soil, or know how to go about supplying their special needs. By testing your soil, you determine its condition so that you can adjust pH more accurately, effectively and economically. This easy-to-use digital soil pH meter will help you obtain all the pH information you need to be more successful in your home garden.

Awful Product
I had read some bad reviews on this meter and decided to try it out anyway. Numerous people said it stayed on 7.0 for everything. They are right!!! My boyfriend and I both tried it, a few times after immediately inserting the probe a high number would flash but them go right back down to 7.0. Then the other half of the time it just stayed at 7.0! We have a large yard and garden with different species of plants that have different soil mixes..so there's no way they are all 7.0. We will be returning this today.

Nice Tool
I live in Maryland (usually high PH) and bought this before I just went out and paid $60 to $100 on Lime to put on my yard. I followed the directions that came with it and found out that my soil has a pH of 6.4 to 6.6 backyard vs front yard! Levels are good......now I can over-seed my yard!
