Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best yard in my neighborhood I’ve used Scott’s bonus s for years, in 2 different homes. Best yard on the street in both homes. Yes Dollarweed is tough to eradicate. I go heavy with bonus s, and occasionally follow it up 1-2 weeks later with pure atrazine if the dollar weed is really bad. (“1-2 punch”) I’m very pleased and cannot imagine changing brands. I put out 2 bags today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Once terrible lawn now impresses the pros. We bought a house that had been a rental. The lawn had been poorly maintained for years. After trying some other fertilizers, I started a twice-a-year application of BonusS Florida. A couple of years later, I needed sod for a garden area we were converting back to grass. When the sod company owner delivered the sod, he said he knew the new sod would do well because the rest of the lawn was some of the best looking grass he'd seen

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weedkiller Superman This product worked great. It killed all of the dollar weed and clover along with the crabgrass. Now all I have to do is get some new grass growing, which is tough to do this time of the year in North Carolina.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now I have to mow Great stuff. The weeds are gone and the grass is growing. The only problem is I now have to mow it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I have used Scott's bonus southern lawn for years, but last year and this spring very poor results. Product chemistry must have changed. What a shame. It once was a good Product but I wouldn't recommend it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A better fertilizer than weed killer. Have applied a second application and the weeds are thriving. Dollarwood is as green as my yard

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Application Issues My main issues were due to problems with application: The fertilizer had many large "clumps" in the bag that had to be broken up by hand. Given the toxicity warnings this was an unwelcome and disagreeable task. Also, the bag was supposed to cover 10,000 sq. ft., but using the recommended setting on my Scotts broadcast spreader I got barely half this coverage and I had to reduce the setting to even do this, as it was obvious that I was not going to be able to cover the yard at the rate that the fertilizer was being dispensed. The box that the fertilizer arrived in was in shreds, but the heavy plastic bag was not damaged. Where I was able to cover, the lawn greened up nicely. (My grass is a mixture of Centipede and St. Augustine.) However, even given that I was evidently over-applying, the weed control has not been as effective as other products I've used. The fire-ant control seems to have been somewhat effective though. Overall I'd rate my experience with this product as so-so, mainly due to application issues but also somewhat due to weed control effectiveness.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What GARBAGE! Opened the bag today that was just purchased and it is one big lump. What the heck? Waste of my money. Will NEVER purchase this again or any other Scott product.
