Excellent product
Great product and my lawn always springs up after a long buffalo winter. Many of the complaints I hear about every lawn fertilizer are pretty much the same. Problem is you need to dethatch your lawn so the product reaches the soil and doesn't sit on your grass and burn it.I do mine in the early fall immediately follow up with Scotts fall lawn fertilizer.Just spreading fertilizer is only half the job. FOLLOW the directions for the product you are applying and do it at the right time.I learned the hard way and wasted a lot of money with bad results. DO A SOIL TEST and tread lightly with products that have IRON in it.I personally have stayed away from them and have stuck to the basics

Has always worked great for my lawn requirements
Most people with patchy burned up lawns have a bigger problem then just fertilizer. There are many many things going on that contribute to a good or bad lawn. I have used the 4 step program for many years and my lawn puts my neighbors who pay for a lawn service to shame. I do not have a sprinkler system. Mother Nature takes care of that.

Pleasantly surprised
Had an big crabgrass problem the last couple years and switched to this product. Somehow I have very little this year. It was like magic. A friend cautioned me to apply right when the forsythia start to bloom, which is apparently the right timing. I will use this again next year,

A picture is worth 1,000 words
I have the best looking lawn around. At a cookout a couple of weeks ago my sister-in-law looked at by back yard asked, "Is that real grass?" Need I say more?

I’m confused.
I have a 15,000 SF yard. Using the Scott’s Edgeguard broadcast spreader at the recommended setting of 3 for Step 1, only about a quarter of the product was used up. I checked to make sure the settings were working before starting. Now I’m not sure how or when to reapply. I feel like I under-fertilized. Thoughts?

My lawn is so much worse
I have been using this program since spring 2021 and my lawn is in horrible shape. It is a total embarrassment. I am going to have to hire a professional to repair my lawn. I am totally disappointed and disgusted.

Not sure what to do with 2nd 3rd and 4th steps
I bought 4 step program thinking of avoiding lawn care specialist and I have applied step 1 Spring Lawn Fertilizer + Crabgrass Preventer It is almost a month and I am not seeing any improvement in the lawn .I can see weeds growing more than usual .I am not sure what to do with the other packages (2, 3 and 4) that I have with me.As I applied the 1st one allready I am not sure whether I can return the rest . As I am not seeing any difference I have given to a third party for the treatment of my lawn .
