Be aware of the orchard grass in the seed
Stripped my yard of all growth, conditioned the soil and planted rebels tall fescue see last fall. Due to mild fall and winter the seeds germinated well and established solid. This spring is early and the yard has filled in nicely. However, we now have over 100 orchard grass plants per 1000 square feet. I will have to spot spray and reseed each location where the orchard grass is growing great. Thank you for the yard full of brown spots. I understand that I will continue to battle the orchard grass for the next few years as the orchard seeds do not all germinate in the first year. You really could have a great product if you would take the time and clean up the seeds before you sell them. I will add images later when more orchard grass appears.

Good in shade, rough in sun
Located in N GA Mtns. Usages - Overseeding on top of turf/sod grew from Rebel Supreme and new areas. Grass does much better in 'mostly' shaded areas. Full sun areas suffer. Grass likes cooler temps - 50 to low 60s. Thick, comfortable to walk barefoot on. Green to dark green. Astro turf like at 3 inches, 2 inches 'feels' too short acceptable to brown fungus, keep short in summer, lite dethach and bag clippings Water 30 mins per day.

Just to Test this out
This year has been pretty bad for me to grow grass at the end of September. I brought the small bag of Pennington the Rebels grass seeds. It is October 17 2023. I like how the product worked out for me. I will use this next season.

I wouldn't recommend
I tilled existing soil, brought in 3" of Landscapers Choice topsoil and planted in perfect growing conditions and per the instructions on the bag. After 19 days only approximately 1/3 of the seed germinated. Very disappointed!

Overall happy with the results!
After 3-1/2 weeks my Newley seeded lawn is coming in thick and hardy! Living in the Northeast. Spring is NOT the ideal conditions to seed a new lawn. Never the less I am impressed with the quick results. Although, I do have quite a bit of Annual Ryegrass over taking the bare spots of Rebels TTTF. I am not all too concerned about the Rye. I plan to remediate it in the Fall, over seed, and ensure it will not spread next spring. Overall this is the best experience I've had with Box Store seed. After all it's all in how you prep your new lawn for new seed!

Contaminated with Rye
I seeded 100 lbs of Tall Fescue early Spring. I have a lot of ryegrass coming out that wasn't there last year, so it looks like it was in the seeds. I am very disappointed.
