Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaking Like many others, I had a lot of problems. The major leaking was from the feeder. I tightened the connection as tight as I could but it still leaked. I finally checked to see if the washer was cracked or broken. The problem turned out to be that there was no washer. In checking the other fittings, I found that washers were missing on most of therm. Poor quality control! I have the system working now, with no leaks. Overall I am very disappointed with this product and recommend against buying it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 100 ft soaker hose. Why are you still putting your name on this product!! It does not work. Only about 40 ft gets water and it leaks badly. You have had complaints as far back as 3 years yet you are still marketing this! I’ve spent all morning trying to get these hoses to work!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from When it works .. I have used other soakers with no issues. When these work, they work great. Only issue is terrible leaking at any connection point. When I pull back on each hose, the leak stops. As soon as I relax the tension.. super leak again. I applied silicone around the leak and that helped a great deal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap junk These soaker hoses are terrible. I will never buy them again. The connectors never ever work properly. As soon as enough pressure builds up to cause an even drip throughout the hose the connectors fail to seal water from leaking and pouring water at the connection point and behind the connectors as well. I imagine these products are made in China and they do not seal as they are meant to do. One simple quality control test at the factory would reveal this flaw.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Difficult to work with This system is too hard to work with. If you want to design your own layout through various beds, you’ll end up running to the hardware store and getting out various tools. A system that allows for easy interaction and movement from soaker hose to regular hose is a lot better. The review guidelines says not to mention a competitors name, so I won’t. But you can find one online.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design This product is a waste of money. In order to have sufficient head pressure then pressurized water must reach the end of the hose. I would say that it will run out of head for most residence after about 15 ft. Meaning you need to hook up your system in parallel... for which there is no 'solid' hose provided.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 4 years of 1-star reviews can't be wrong I failed to read all the 1-star reviews before I purchased this product. That's on me. When there are a ton of 1-star reviews stretching over the previous 4 years, it's probably worth paying attention. I spent a couple hours laying out two runs for two medium-sized shrub beds. I had to use several branches to cover the whole area, but followed the directions on the box, and split the runs to keep them reasonable in length. The hose puts out water perfectly for the first few feet, until it reaches where the actual plants are. At the end of the run on one side, it also puts out some water. In the middle, where the plants are, it puts out very little water where it puts out any at all. The hose is under pine straw, so lightly covered and not preventing water from coming out. I was excited for this simple solution, but like so many others have said, it just doesn't work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No Way, Hose This kit had plenty of connectors and was bundled well, but we had the same issue as many other reviewers: the water doesn't make it much past the first 10'. Even in short runs, the majority of the water runs out early and never makes it to the end of the hose. Regulating the pressure helped the water to travel a bit farther, but most of the hose is still barely wet after being on for hours. We will be removing and replacing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total junk Bought this soaker for a skinny part of my yard that is about 50 feet long. Laid out the hose and gave it some time to relax. After hooking it up and turning on the water, I noticed that only the first ten feet or so was dripping ANY water. I even took off the end cap--no water. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. I am pretty upset that returning this product will be an additional waste of my time. Judging from most of the other reviews, you people know you have a defective product, yet you continue sell this junk.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor performance Hooked up twice. Flow is fine for the 1st 5 to 10 feet, but last 5 to 10 feet has nothing. What good is a 50 foot hose if only 25 to 30 feet actually has any water flow

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality I bought two, fifty foot hoses. Started the first one and the dead end popped off immediately. I discovered that the hose is merely threaded into the dead end with no clamp to keep it on. When I put the dead end back on it leaked profusely. I ended up taking the dead end off, folding the hose and clamping it down with a radiator hose clamp. Did the same for the one I haven’t even used yet as I could tell it would have the same problem. It does not soak as well as the flat hose soakers. Will use these until I find the flat ones. Will not purchase again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tears between uses Hose tears easily! We've had two large holes appear near the faucet and keep having to use the connectors provided to cut out the effected area and repair.
Date published: 2017-09-24
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does Not Work! This hose is very poor quality. The first few feet of the hose soaks as it should but no water comes out of the remaining 45 feet! It also leaks around the cheap plastic fittings. Waste of money and my time to put it in and take it out and replace it with something better!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Inconsistent quality I bought two of these hoses and connected them together. One works fine and the second one barely works at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall, it works for me I have only purchased the kits, as it seems the fittings are difficult to find otherwise. I've been using the soaker hoses in my garden & around trees with good results. I do feel that the hose closest to the garden hose gets more output than the portion at the end. I make up for that by winding that section closer together. Not a perfect solution, as it takes more hose, but it works. I found I didn't have enough end caps. I solved the problem by folding over the end and using a medium size binder clip. It works great and I have the configuration I want. I do wish the fittings were more readily available.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product does not perform. Bought two 50 foot SoakerPRO hoses. Using on flat area. 80% of the water is dispersed in first 10% of hose length. No water makes it to the end of the 50 foot length. Both hoses performed the same. Useless product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this hose!! Only one problem I have bought several of these hoses over the years front yard backyard side yard vegetable garden etc. This year my hose is leaking up where the female connector is! Other than that everything is great I just wish I could figure out why it's spurting water everywhere! I am sure the leak if operator error but I haven't been able to find an email address to ask or send a picture of it to them about it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work Bought the 75' hose but it can only get water to the first 30 foot of the hose. Also leaks from connectors. Waste of time and money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I wish I had read these reviews first...these do not work. The water does not make it past the first segment. You have to have them flowing from high ground to low ground, so I got them sort of working on one bed that is on a slope, but it still only waters the first segment, the second segment gets only a trickle. I should have saved up and bought the nice ones from Garderner's Supply. You get what you pay for. Steer clear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just fine Works well. Nothing fancy.... Like the barbed to hose end connectors; easier than endless rummaging in hardware plumbing section... Am replacing one that is probably 10 years old and all beat up. Wish it was clearer what the range of output was likely to be; 1 gallon per minute? 2 gallons per minute at given pressure? My well is tender and I have to be careful not to run it too hard. Directions could be clearer about the simple physics that flow will be lower at the end of a hose run so it might be useful to arrange it in a different configurations depending on your application.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It broke in half! On the third time using this hose it snapped in two. My husband was able to take the plug off one end and put it on the broken end. So now I have a much shorter hose and it leaks. Poor quality control! And I can't make a warranty claim because I did not save my receipt. I thought this hose would last longer than 2 waterings! Do not buy this product, not worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, easy to use. Bought this for a 50ft row of grapes, one line down each side of row. Works great, easy to set up.no problems with leaky fittings as some other reviews state. IF USING ON A SLOPE be sure the feed line is at the top of the slope and run the soaker hose DOWN HILL as per directions or the soaker may not weep along its entire length. Uncoil and leave in sun till supple for easy placement. Just bought a second kit for a row of raspberries.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy I bought four 100 foot sections . I laid them out early in the day so the sun could soften them up. It worked great . I could work them around all my plants real easy. The problem came when i hooked it up to the spigot. It leaks like crazy and only about 12 feet of the hose gets water. The fittings slide on fairly easy when you use a twisting motion like screwing a screw in. I cut the hose back and tried again. It still leaks . I tied with a restrictor and without. I tried to leave it on overnight to see if it would make it to the end of the hose but it still didn't work. Don't waste you time with this product. I spent my one day off a week with it . The time I'll never get back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Color me Angry - Don't waste your money! If I could give this zero stars, I would! Going on the Miracle-Gro name and the 7 year warranty, I picked up one of these at my local big-box retailer for my vegetable garden. I carefully laid it out and hooked it up. Then I turned it on and OH NO - it leaks at the soaker hose side of the hose connection - between the coupler and the plastic connector sleeve protecting the soaker hose. NOT at the hose connection. Now I have to pull it up, trek back to the store and return it, and go find something that works properly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Connections are terrible. Instructions are worse After several hours of messing with this "system," I cannot get it to work properly. One issue is the E-Z Connect system which is prone to leaking. I cannot get it to not leak at the initial feeder connection so when it loses pressure there, it doesn't have enough pressure to send the water all the way to the end. In my attempt to stop it leaking, I pushed the hose further into the connector (read next section) which only made it worse and when I tried to remove it, the hose tore and left remnants inside the feeder. It took me 30 minutes with screw drivers and tiny needle nose pliers to remove all the pieces. The instructions say "attach connectors as needed... Be sure to insert the connectors at least 1/2 inch into the hose to ensure a water tight seal". Well you can't insert the connector into the hose, you have to insert the hose into the connector! Plus some of the connectors come with rubber washers, other do not so you don't know if the ones who don't have them need to have you insert your own or whether they are made not to use a washer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You Need To Have Patience Bought two of these. Hooked them end-to-end to soak around some 150' of newly planted pines. Takes awhile to get them started but they work. Biggest problem is uncoiling them. Be SURE to start from the right end and lay them out on a driveway for a few hours to get them flat and supple. I intend to let them run 24/7 as they only put out a gallon minute per 100 feet. In case you missed the "Old Bear's" earlier post: "Posted byTheOldBear The hose is a "low-flow" system to conserve water. The package notes that the watering time to irrigate to specific depth is 50 minutes for 1/4-inch, 100 minutes for 1/2-inch, 150 minutes for 3/4-inch, and 200 minutes for 1-inch. This is based on a water flow rate of 1/2 gallons per minute per 50 feet of hose. Because of the low flow rate, you run the hose for a longer period of time to deliver the same amount of water as a higher flow device. In theory, this is beneficial because it gives your plants time to take up the water rather than saturating the ground quickly and having that excess water perk down into the soil beyond the reach of your plants' root system." A final comment: For those of you who say you can't connect the hoses together in a long run "HUH???" I had no problem. Didn't even use the short standard hoses provided. If I have one complaint so far it's that they need to include more hose washers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Simply does not work Bought this product and after assembling it and turning water on, after 3 hours one end of the soaker was barely damp. A real waste of money...do not buy

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality hose connectors I purchased 4 of these kits, and installed 2. Within a short period of time, one of the hose bib connectors failed where the brass goes into the plastic. Bought a repair connector (no easy feat), and replaced it, and this did not work either. Replaced the leader hose with one from one of the other kits I bought, and it lasted less than 1 week before the brass collar separated from the plastic hose bib connector. Very disappointed given the Miracle Grow name is attached to these. I have left a message with the cusomter service agent and waiting to hear back from them.
