Solid water barrel
This works as advertised. Keep in mind, it is a lot bigger than it looks in pictures. Also even though this is 50 gallon barrel, torrential downpours (which is common in N Carolina) will cause overflow. I had both tubes open and it was raining cats n dogs and the rate of incoming water was far greater than the outgoing water. However this is no fault of the barrel design. It actually would have been worse if there was no overflow tube.

Good quality
Use this to water my herb garden during the dry periods. Do keep in mind that for this barrel to work well, you must elevate it above whatever you are watering. Also, I recommend that the roof surface is small, as this filled up after an inch of rain on my side porch.

A great barrel for us
We bought two of these last year and am buying a third for this year. We like their square share since they fit nicely against the house, they are easy to clean, easy to use, durable, and have done everything we would ask of a rain barrel.

Poor fit
I had to order this from a picture because our local True Value doesn't carry any rain barrels. This item looked like it would fit up tight against the house and the gutter downspout would come into it with a snug fit. But it does not the barrel tapers down so snakes can fit comfortably in behind the barrel, and it is huge as for its size. Beside it looks like a ten dollar tote. Very unhappy and since I special order I can't send them back. Next time I'll wait to buy until I can view my product.
