The grass grew well, no complaints
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Planted in heat of summer, grew better than expected that time of year initially, then seemed to thin out a bit. All in all I would purchase again if I find myself needing to plant grass in July or August.

Not impressed from
Not impressed
I bought this to overseed my lawn this fall and was particularly interested in the heat intolerant Blue Mix. I prepped my yard and applied the grass seed as directed on the bag. Sadly, I would not purchase this seed again. On top of bare areas now growing weeds unlike before, I can't see or find where the seed even germinated. Extremely disappointed. I would give no stars if possible.

Save your money.
It'd been over a month now and even with overseeding, I only have about a 25% germination rate. Not worth the price I paid.

Works better than the uncoated seed
I have a few different bags of seed, this blue-coated stuff really works. Faster results.

Cover with sphagnum
I covered this seed with a thin layer of sphagnum Pete moss. I kept it moist and it literally germinated in 6 days. This is my go to grass seed.

My Lawn Renovation
Here are some before and after pics of the Scotts heat tolerant blue grass seed. My yard is very small I overseeded in August 26,2018. Started with bare spots and lots of weeds. It’s now summer 2019 and the grass is doing great in the 3 digit weather here in Southern California.

MIsleading and COnflicting Coverage Settings
This page says this 7 lb bag covers 750 sq feet with a broadcast setting of 15. The directions on the BAG say 580 sq ft with a setting of 10. That is a BIG difference. Heat tolerant Bluegrass seed is only 2.88% of the mix. I feel mislead

Worked as Advertised
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice product. I feel like I got decent growth out the seed. Product was easy to use and i would recommend this seed if it fit your need. It was great on the small space I used it on. The grass seemed to stand up to the summer heat well.
