Thermos Thermo-Caffe 16oz. Travel Mug
I have both the 16oz. & 24oz. model of these mugs.
Pros Of Both:
-Secure screw on lid that's easy to clean without disassembling the lid.
-Effective easy to operate slide drink opening.
-Fits nicely in most automobile cup holders.
-Durable stainless steel exterior.
Cons Of Both:
-Poorly Insulated.
Indoors - only keeps hot/cold about 2hrs.
Outdoors - warm in winter / cold in summer about 1hr.
(I would expect better from a company with the history & reputation of Thermos)
-Plastic Interior
"Retains flavor" of some beverages for several washings.
Has a short life span with frequent dishwasher cycles.
(should have stainless steel interior)
-Not microwavable to reheat hot beverages.
Individual Cons:
24oz.
Design is top heavy so it tips a bit easily went "free standing"
(16oz. is more stable in this respect)
16oz.
Top is too small to get your fingers in to properly clean the bottom.
Suggestions:
Better insulation.
Stainless steel interior.
A more stable "free standing" design that still fits most automobile cup holders.
Availability of a variety of anodized colors would be cool.
