Go to for skunk encounters
I have a healthy skunk population on my land and my two dogs have numerous encounters with them every year. After using home remedies and deodorizing shampoos, I stumbled on this product years ago and it is now the first thing I reach for. I have a short haired hound and a German shepherd.
Skunks aim for the eyes/face, so it's important to saturate that area and wash the dog's collar. Waiting the recommended 5 minutes after saturating the coat is important too.
I do wish this product was thicker or a soap form so it was easier to apply.

This worked!!!
This worked great for us! My guess is that the people who left poor reviews tried to use it as a shampoo. We applied it full strength and let it dry fully. Then we reapplied to any areas that still smelled, and again let it dry. The smell is gone.

Save your money
Complete waste of time and money. Washed my dog four times over the course of four hours thinking maybe she'd smell better once she's dry...NOPE. The third and fourth times we soaked her really good and let it set 10 minutes and washed her with Apple Blossom sented shampoo and she still stunk like skunk.

I have used this product on my dog for several years now and it works great. If oder lingers I wipe her face with it put on a wet cloth.

great alternative to hiring an exorcist
poor kitty got skunked smack in the face and although we got her professionally groomed, we still had a stinky house .. I have used Nature’s Miracle Skunk Odour Remover all over the house, I bought 2 bottles .. one, I put in a spray bottle, for floors and upholstery and the other is for occasional gentle wipe-downs of kitty and laundry .. I rarely write reviews but wanted to help future skunk victims, to feel confident in purchasing this product .. it has a lovely scent and IT WORKS .. I love this product

Didn't Work
I have a 7 month golden that was sprayed by a Skunk whiel hiking. This product was recommended at PetSmart. I bought a bottle. Ended up having to go back for another as the smell wouldn't go away. Washed her at a min of 5 times with this and regular shampoo from the same company. She still smells.

This stuff is AHHH-MAZING!
Seriously. Why have I not had this before?! It worked so well. I soaked my dog in it and gave her a bath last Friday evening… what a difference. Never. Using. Tomato Juice. Again. Thank you so much for the great product. This is my dogs 5th encounter with a skunk (she likes to chase the black & white squirrels... oy) an nothing we've tried has worked like this. I’m planning to buy another bottle & keep it in the closet!

Great deskunker
Our vizsla got skunked in the wee hours. It took two applications, but he now smells no worse than your average Deadhead. It's a great product, and I'm getting another bottle to keep around just in case.
