Awful sink mats
I bought these mats and I am not satisfied with them at all. They are very thin(not anywhere near as thick as my old Rubbermaid mats i just disposed of. Please bring back the old type of mats. 100% better than these new mats i just purchased. Will not buy Rubbermaid again. Wish there was a minus 5 is what it should be.

BRING BACK THE OLD MATS
I do not like the new mats. I have the old Hunter Green mats which I clean and still use in my kitchen sink. I would like to replace mine, but I will not buy the new ones; especially with all the negative comments. I just hope my old ones continue to last. I have had them for over 20 years. I clean them with Clorox weekly and they are still good.

Bring back the old mats
I agree with everyone else. The old mats were the best. There is nothing else out there for the price that works as well. The colors were also very fun. Poor choice for Rubbermaid to discontinue a very good product

Bring back the old sink mats
Please bring back the old mats. I have a single bowl sink and the mat doesn't bend to get it out the way to use the garbage disposal or to clean the sink. The old ones were easier to keep clean I would use bleach occasionally to remove any stains. The bleach would also remove any bacteria and there would be no need for Microban. It seems that I'm not the only person that doesn't like the newer product. Please listen to your customers .

Not up to Rubbermaid standards.
I've had one for about a year. It's white, but it keeps developing black marks on top, and it feels slimy on the bottom. In addition, utensils fall through the slots into my garbage disposal.

Horrible Mat
I wish I could give zero stars. My experience is the same as everyone here. They stain, they're stiff and too light, the "white" turns yellow and NOTHING will clean it, and they develop a weird, greasy, sticky film that won't come off. It's not from food--it's like cheap plastic that starts to decompose. Maybe this is the "Microban" material? It's gross. The old rubber mats, which I used for years (so did my mom), were perfect. Once again, a company decides to discontinue a classic product and replace it with a much cheaper, poor-quality version.

Bring back the old sink mats
I have gone thru 3 other mats since I threw out my old mat after at least 5 years of use. I could bleach it and it stood up to much use. I do not like these new mats. The latest one retains the grease and coloring from foods. I have tried cleaning it in the dishwasher and washed it in bleach to no avail. I have searched every store in my area for the old mat and could not locate.

Enhanced sink mats--Older model
The older model (now discontinued), enhanced sink mats with a metal panel that lifts to get to the drain was very durable and designed well, with exception of the metal, should have been stainless.

Pebble effect kitchen sink mats
I bought this about 2 weeks ago and hate it. I agree with all of the negative reviews on your website. " BRING BACK THE OLD RUBBER MATS ASAP!!!!"
I REALLY NEED IT AND SORRY I THREW OUT MY OLD ONE WHICH LASTED ME FOR A LONG TIME AND I ALWAYS BOUGHT THE SAME KIND OF MAT. NOW I AM SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THE NEW ONES.

Large Sink Mats
I agree with all of the reviews I have read. Please bring back the old Rubbermaid sink mats. The product a consumer has to buy now feel greasy and I don't know how they can advertise them as "grease resistant". My grandmother and mother, as well as myself, have always used the Rubbermaid sink mat. Please bring them back!!

sink mats
All the newer sink mats are not worth buying, the original sink mat that was discontinued in 2010 was the best mat I have ever used. I saved my old mats and
have tried two others and I went back to using the old but it is getting very worn so I don't know what I will do since all the current mats are not worth buying.

Not flexible and difficult to clean.
Please bring back the rubber flexible basic sink mat, shown on your website as discontinued in 2010. Do you have any in a back room closet I could buy? I have tried several of your "new" mats and do not like them at all. Too expensive and hold the mold on the bottom, difficult to clean. Very sad.

Sink Mat is a Hunk of Junk
I have always had a Rubbermaid sink mat in my sink since 1969 when we got married. I liked the flexible ones that felt like rubber and could be bleached. This one is garbage. My silverware slips underneath it and I am always having to try to get it out. It also gets stuck in the slots. Today the stupid mat grabbed onto the drain strainer center and let all the water and dish soap out of my sink. In addition, even when I don't wash greasy stuff this mat feels and is greasy. It is by far the worst Rubbermaid product I've ever purchased. So much for "enhanced." Bring back the old ones--they were SO much better!

Enhanced Sink Mats
The product is not real rubber, as are the original sink mats. They slide more in the sink; thus, breaking a dish or two. The feet prevent being able to clean the mat. Loss of silverware more often with the new sink mats.

Bring back the old Rubbermaid sink mats!!
I have been using Rubbermaid sink mats since the early 80's and I hate the new ones! The feet you are so proud of makes it so glasses tip over. They are impossible to keep clean and the clear ones I bought are now stained and gross looking.
Please bring back the old mats we all knew and loved!!

Terrible replacement
I bought these to replace the last set of your original sink mat I had. They are such an inferior product: thin, discolor easily, and look actually worse when I pull them out of the dishwasher. I have been a 40+ year customer of Rubbermaid products, but you've made an unhappy customer out of me. I am heartsick that I can no longer find the old-time, flexible sink mats. If you had a lower rating than one, I'd give it that. I'd like a response.

SINK MAT
I am very dissappointed in your white, small sink mat. It stains easily and does not look as nice as the one with the round hole that I used for 20 years Clearly the material is loighter and cheaper.

'Love-HATE!' Relationship
I have been purchasing your xlarge and small mats for 16 years. They fit my sinks perfectly. Recently I had to purchase new ones and ended up with this new style of mat. I'm very OCD and hate it when things change or I can't get things super clean. I have white Corian sinks and counter tops so I can bleach them when needed. I use Clorox Cleanup to remove stains on these new mats, however, it has to sit on the mats twice as long as the old style mats. I love to have mats in the sinks to buffer the fall of plates and glasses, thus the 'Love-HATE!' Relationship. Please tell me where I can purchase a case of the small and xlarge old sink mats with the round holes in them - they were PERFECT for my kitchen sink needs!

Hate the sink mats!
I have had these mats for several months and hate them. Grease clings to the bottom, even after cleaning them. Also, stains are hard to remove from the mats. Bring back the mats you used to make!

Awful!
Enhanced mat? What does that mean? These mats are a step back. I bought these mats a few months ago and was so frustrated with them I finally threw them out. I only bought them because I couldn't find the old ones that have, apparently, been discontinued. Because they got rid of the suction cups on the bottom, they slide around and food gets trapped underneath them. Never had that problem with the old style. I agree with another poster that cleaning the feet ruins your sponge. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD STYLE!!!

This product is not worth the money
I am on my 2nd set of mats in just over a year & this one is also stained badly & ready to be thrown out. I clean it all the time but the stains will not go away.I knew when I purchased them that the material wasn't the same, but having used the old ones for so many years I bought them. The old ones I could cut the sink hole where I needed it & it cleaned like new & I had one set for 2 to 3 years easy. Maybe that was the problem it wasn't being replaced often enough. I am looking for a new sink mat as I won't be replacing what I have with another set of these new ones. They are a waste of money

Good sink mat
We've been looking for a splash-free sink mat for years and finally found this one. The last really good mat we had was also a Rubbermaid, but you stopped making them about a dozen years ago. Haven't owned this for long, but the fact that it eliminates splashing or funneling of water is a big plus. I don't know why others are complaining about staining or discoloring, but maybe ours is still too new to have experienced that yet. The only comment I'd make is that the feet/spikes could be a bit closer together to prevent glassware from tipping. We've gotten used to it, but we had to learn to place glassware carefully. Conversely, moving the feet closer together may prevent debris from moving freely beneath the mat. I'm sure there is a balance that needs to be met to allow it to flow away and not get trapped. All in all, we're quite pleased with this mat.
