I purchased several of these smoke detectors. None of them lasted more than 4 years. And when they do go, the deactivate switch, which is supposed to turn off the beeping, doesn't work. So you have to get a screw driver and mutilate the device.
Plus, you can't trash them and you can't recycle them. You have to take them to a hazardous waste site.
Do not buy!
