Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent For Open Reel Magnetic Tape Lubricant I have been using the 4 FL OZ drip bottle version of this product to re-lubricate the silicone coating on my open reel magnetic tapes. During manufacture magnetic tape is made with a thin layer of silicone lubricant which wears out with each play. When the tape comes in contact with the heads the pressure actually causes small microscopic beads of silicone to ooze out of the surface of the tape which allows the tape to glide over the guides and heads, greatly reducing friction which in turn reduces tape head wear and stops the squealing of older tape that has lost its lubricant.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Applying it is not fun. Like many other people have said: "The red straw kept popping out of the spray nozzle. "It's a little detail that makes a big difference. Frustrating. Design or quality control issue?". They have been making this for quite a while, so why can't they do something about the red straw popping out all the time? Mount it permanently if you have to, or attach 2 spray nozzels to the can; one that sprays, and one that has the permanently attached nozzel. Silicone is slippery stuff. Your customers shouldn't have to tell your engineers how to make this product work properly. And make the sprayer similar to the WD-40 Smart Straw so it is adjustable without spraying out too much at a time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not good in cold weather Sprayed this on my screen door latch and the moving parts of my van door as a preventative measure. The temp dropped to around 19 deg F and now the screen door latch sticks. I have to hit the thumb push button a few times to break it free. The van (new, only 17k miles on it) door has a spring return latch on it. The spring sticks in position. Have to push it to move it. Never had to do that before using this product. There may be better cold weather lubes in their product line .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Silicone Spray! This is an excellent silicone spray. I use it on my vehicles to lubricate the window tracking to ease the motor regulator. I also use it on a monthly basis and spray all the rubber and plastic components under my vehicles. It keeps them soft and provides a layer of protection and makes them last longer. Other silicone sprays don't contain adequate amount of silicone and don't last long. B'laster is the only one that is worth buying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best i have tried for the money i am on a tight budget but still needed a good silicone for my outdoor stuff, most of the fancy stuff was over $10 a can and i couldn't afford it. i tried liquid wrench silicone that said silicone but smelled terrible and was more oil than anything else, tried wd40 silicone and it was better but didn't seem like it had enough silicone, both of these were $6 in my area. then i went to a local store one daty looking for paint and found this stuff, WOW this is the best i have ever used. used it on camping, hiking, fishing and hunting stuff. it dries so dust won't attract but still lubricates with not only silicone but with teflon as well and the best part is it's less than $5 a can. this is my silicone spray from now on, and the smell is good too so the wifes happy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from shoot! I just purchased this product to lubricate the automatic window channels in my car. The red straw kept popping out of the spray nozzle and by the time I got to the third window, the straw fell INTO the door channel! It's a little detail that make a big difference. Frustrating. Design or quality control issue?
