Barn Restoration
I'm using the saw to cut 9"x9" Timber in our barn to replace the original rotted posts. Saw has been great, with the exception of one vertical scarf cut I was making. During the vertical cut the motor started to "short out" as if the bushes or armature was bad (the elusive lightning in the motor) The saw cleared out after a bit so I'm hopeful it was debris that got into the motor due to the type of cut. Since that I have had no issues with the saw and it still plows threw the heavy Timber like a Pro.

Great saw. Awesome power. Ripped a 5 1/4" x 13" beam with ease. Its a little spendy ! For the price it sure could come with a rip guude.

If you cut roofs and cut alot of beams this saw you will love . Nothing comes close i have been cutting roofs for 40 years . This is the hot ticket.

I make live edge furniture with slabs 2+" thick. Needed something to handle the thickness, give me +45 degree bevel cuts and be reasonable to handle. It weighs nor more than my old 7 1/4" wormdrive craftsman which it will replace.

Skil Mag Sawsquatch 10.25" saw
I've needed something more. I tried this saw out on a dripping wet 4" thick piece of oak slabwood off the sawmill. It cut so well that my son said, "Wow, let me try that!" The cuts we made barely warmed the motor up. No shortcomings or problems yet, glad I waited out the backorder.

If you have to chose GO FOR SKILSAW
This Worm Drive circular saw is very powerful and safe. I even use it to cut 6 in by 6 planks. Of course I do it in 3 passes and this thanks to the precision of the saw.
