So many negative reviews. Now what?
Can't believe all the bad feedback here. Figured if I came to the source I could rely on quality that will last. I really need a pad for my DWE6423 Type 1 but now what?

Where's the quality?
I have a pneumatic sander with a silicon rubber pad that still works after thirty years on the job but some of these Dewalt hook and loop replacement pads don't last half a day. C'mon, Dewalt, you can do far far better by us.

Ordered one, came apart within 30 seconds. Like a dummy ordered a second one and it literally lasted until the paper ran against the pine board I was sanding. I know these are outsourced in South America maybe time f time for DeWalt to inspect manufacturing.

Garbage
This pad is made from cheap plastic. Brand new replacement lasted about 1 hour before breaking off. Usage was a light sanding on a door nothing hard. Is it time to buy another brand?

Lasted 1 year
I used the original pad for 1 year and it failed. I bought an aftermarket with a metal backplate instead of the plastic that the original uses.

Useless
Holes for screws too large. Even if tightened down, it feels horrible. Paper flys off of it too within 10 seconds...Trash...Buying a Makita
