Nibco 1" FIP CPVC Adapter is used to adapt metal male iron pipe threaded fittings to CPVC. It features a neoprene seal that assures watertight installations in hot or cold systems. The elastomeric gasket ensures a leakproof seal. Hand tighten only and do not use pipe joint compound. Use Teflon tape. It is underground rated and has a maximum working pressure of 400 psi. It is made of chlorinated poly vinyl chloride (CPVC) and has a maximum working temperature of 180 degrees Fahrenheit. It is solvent cemented and has a 5-year warranty.
