CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION 65 DECLARATION, Dear Valued Customers, This certificate is to inform Backyard Products, LLC customers that items produced by Backyard Products, LLC other than products containing wood are compliant with chemicals which are listed on California's Safe Drinking Water & Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. This Act, commonly know as Proposition 65 (Prop 65), establshes a list of chemicales which the state of California's risk assessment process has determined to present a risk of cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Proposition 54 information and the chemical list can be found at: https://oehha.ca.gov/proposition65 Backyard Products, LLC wood products do contain wood dust, a substance know to the state of California to cause cancer. Backyard Products, LLC will provide a clear and reasonable warning on packaging of wood products. In August 2016, the Office of Environmental Health Assessment (OEHHA) adopted new Prop 65 regulations that become effective August 30, 2018. The new Prop 65 regulations include changes to the requirements for warning label language and use. Backyard Products, LLC is committed to providing safe, high quality products for our consumers. We continue working with our vendors and our supply chain partners to ensure the purchase of raw materials that will meet Prop 65 standards. Even though a product may be found to contain a Prop 65-listed chemical, it does not mean that the use of the product will cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Nor does it mean that the product is unsafe. We are confident there is no health hazard associated with the installation, use or removal of our products. All applicable products shipped to California will be packaged with this statement on each box. Individual products not affected will not be labeled with a Prop 65 warning label.
