Great product, poor packaging
You cannot roll bags up to seal, close them at all to keep food "fresher" Very inconvenient.

Dog Can't Tolerate -- Horrible flatulence
This is so bad. Initially this food was good for her, but something has changed in the formula. We're not talking a toot here or there. It's constant! Gotta find a way to detox her of this quickly.

This was great but they changed it
My dog had been eatting Iams mature adult for about 4 years and always did well on it. It has apparently been discontinued and replaced with Iams Healthy Aging. (Same purple colored bag.) It says it's the same formula but my dog does not tolerate it. Very disappointed to have to find him a new mature dog food at this stage in life but he just can't stay on the new Iams. Came to the website to try to learn more and they haven't even updated the product page yet. But the old formula isn't available at any local stores and is sold out anywhere I find it online.

My dog vomits this, was there a recall?
I would've done this by direct email to the company if I found a link. We bought this because our 14 y.o. dog needed elderly dog food. We've never had a problem with Iams. Our Lab/hound mix vomited it severely with a lot of mucus until we let it clear her system and switched her to a different Purina brand. I want to give away the left-over food, but I don't know if it is safe. Is this variety possibly too high in fiber for it to pass quickly enough through my dog's stomach? If other people aren't having problems I'll give away the rest.

Gretchen loves IAMS! She has been an IAMS dog since she was a puppy and she really loves the taste of the food. The only improvement I would make is to have a resealable bag. Gretchen is an adult Yellow Lab and she loves her Chicken or Lamb and Rice. She and I highly recommend it.

I switched my dog to Iams about six months ago. My dog is almost seven but has early onset arthritis and joint stiffness. I've noticed after switching to the mature formula that my dog has had less joint pain. She also loves the way it tastes!

Having two geriatric dogs, I wanted to give them the right food for their needs. They definitely need joint supplements and I’m glad that this food has glucosamine in it, so I don’t have to give them additional supplements aside from prescriptions.
