It's too good!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this thing. One issue is it throws the snow TOO far (onto the road, neighbor's driveways, etc, depending on the direction). I wish it had an adjustable deflector (e.g. downward) but it doesn't. I've tried holding the machine handle at a more vertical angle, but that didn't work, plus its harder to push that way.
I may try to make one to attach. Has anyone tried this? any ideas?

Disappointed.
My main problem is that it's none directional. It throws the snow in a fine powder up in the air straight in front of you. Most of it falls back on you. It's light. For about the first 15 minutes then it starts getting real heavy. It does move snow but not where you want it. Also something to think about ( I didn't) is wrestling a cold, stiff power cord around in the snow.

Good value for money
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love it ( for now ). Moves my snow without to much strain on my body. Probably not great when there is ice underneath but for the most part is is a great machine I’m happy with it

Works better than expected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this blower for 6 years. Has never failed me. I’ve got a 75ft by 35ft drive way and this year we had 8 inches of snow and it worked like a charm. I have always used a 100ft 14 gage cord and it has plenty of power. This year the handle clamp broke but I just cut the tabs off and fixed with a hose clamp.

Still going strong
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my Toro Power Shovel in 1995 & it still works very well after 25 years of regular winter use. Replaced the bottom plastic blade last year. Yes, spare parts are still available.

Very disappointed...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the "Power Shovel" after careful consideration of other options, and my positive experience with my other Toro products. The Power Shovel purchase was for clearing snow from a 700 sqft deck. I used it once and am very dissatisfied.
It took twice as long and as much effort than doing it by hand with a standard snow shovel. Toro's website images for the "Power Shovel" show nice clean lines of snow being cleared. I could not get that result. The first pass was OK, but the second pass blew snow into the first path created by the first pass. It blew snow out the back, too, right into the space behind the Power Shovel. This happened pass after pass after pass.
I ended up having to do the entire deck three times before it was anywhere close to an acceptable snow removal job. I will be returning the unit tomorrow and attempt to find a different machine.

Great for light snow, Porches and Steps
I use this to quickly clear off my front porch and back porch and steps. Works very well when the snow is not too deep (like 3 to 4 inches).

Just the right size!
I am a 67 year old female. Never had strong arms. Condo is on the second floor with a deck. After the first snow fall, having a hard time lifting the snow over the railing, a friend saw your 11 pound electric shovel. Everything about it is perfect. Throws the snow right over the railing. It is so light weight. The highest snow fall so far was 4 inches and it went right through it. It’s a gem!

Better than a shovel!
I've had a Toro Power Shovel for years because I can't get my snow blower to my back patio and this thing really does a great job on my patio and deck. I'm always concerned about leaving heavy, deep snow on my elevated deck. The Power Shovel tackles even deep snow, it just takes more time, but it blows it over/through the railing which is so much easier than trying to lift a shovel full of snow over the deck railing. I've had no problems with the Power Shovel damaging deck boards. Love this thing! Just make sure you buy a good extension cord that remains flexible in the cold and you will be set.

Review
I have only used the unit twice but it does a very nice job of throwing the snow on my Deck. Seems to be a well built unit.

effective clearing Chicago driveway snow for 15+ yrs
Very happy with this "power shovel". I use it for clearing the entire 50' x 12' driveway. Delighted not to have to deal with gas engine maintenance. It's challenged by ice and deep snow ( > 6" ) but lightweight enough to tackle deep snow in two passes. Storage is easy, comparable to a shovel.

Doesn't Run
I owned one for many years. It worked fine and I liked it. Then, it suddenly quit working. I followed the procedures on line to check the internal operation. Could not get it to run, so I gave it away. I bought a new one Feb 2019. Same thing! Won't run!. I will look for a dealer to get the warranty work done on it. Sad!!!

Handy for clearing deck.
After dragging our snow blower up to our second-story deck, my wife suggested there must be a better way. I went online and found the Toro Power Shovel and we bought it. It worked very well - except the set screw came off the lower handle. I took it back to the place where we had purchased it and they gave us a different Power Shovel. We're set for tomorrow's snow - we hope.

Keeps right on working in over 3 feet of snow.
Just a little too heavy for me. We did have a lot of snow. This shovel just kept on working . Great when there is a little snow.

Good for its purpose
It can clear 9+ inches of snow easily. It is light and easy to run. It can also dig into harder snow pack. I live in Duluth MN. I had it for a year and use it to clear a big second story deck. It will throw snow past the railing. I is better than Toro advertises. It will not clear a big drive But for decks and sidewalks it is useful.
I gave it four stars because the power switch sucks. It is right hand dominant. You push a button with your right thumb and then pull the trigger. I'm left handed. Pushing the trigger release with my right index and the throttle with my middle finger can be done but is awkward. But even if right handed, if you need to throw snow in one direction because of wind direction, you may need to use it left handed and it's terrible.
I have a big deck. I understand the safety issues with immediate release but being able to turn it on and run it continuously would be a great option.
Toro engineers need to make it ambidextrous.

Just got 4 inches of snow. Powered through like a Champ. Never bogged down. Large chute never clogged like traditional snow blowers.
A little heavy if you don’t have a smooth driveway. On smooth pavement I pushed it back and forth like a vacuum. Awesome power on about 100 feet of cord. Small unit but huge power. Didn’t stink like gas when done and could thaw out the shovel in the basement.
