Impossible to maintain
Got this as a gift. I’ve had it for about a year and I like everything about it aside from how difficult it is to clean. The little slits get clogged constantly so you have to tell off the grill plates and clean them individually. This is such a mess to do because they’re covered in grease, charred food, etc.
Saw another review asking about normal bar type grill plates for this grill. I’d also be interested in using those.
I’d say just go for a standard gas grill since this one is so not worth the hassle. Makes me not want to grill.

Poor design
This is my second Char- Broil infrared grill. The grates on my new one are impossible to clean. I soak them after every use. You talk about a nylon brush or your stupid tool. Good luck with that. Did you ever use this grill? Or try to clean the grates? Loved my first grill. That's why I bought a second one. This one is going in the trash. You need to rethink your design.

My Second and Favorite Char-Broil Grill
I just love my new grill!
First, it's such a great size to keep on my patio and not have to roll away to store somewhere. The flavor of my burgers is so wonderful, I don't even need to buy steak anymore! I don't know if it's the Tru-Infrared system or what, but meats and veggies have such a good flavor from cooking on this grill. Plenty of space for me on this smaller sized grill too. I save a lot of gas and time by heating up a smaller space and can even heat just one side if I want a quick burger. I love the styling also - really smart looking and easy to move around on it's wheels. AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT! And if it lasts as long as my cheaper, larger previous Char-Broil gas grill, I will get more than my money's worth! Also: cleaning is easy. The grill is in two sections. I just lift them out and they can be rinsed off and then soaked in soapy water in my large stainless kitchen sink. No mess. Easy peasey!

Best grill I’ve ever had
My grill is going on two years old and still performs as good as the day I put it together. I live in Haiti and cook outside as much as possible so the kitchen doesn’t get heated up. This grill cooks everything like a champ. One tip, the first time you use it, cook on as low a temp as possible.

Not Worth It !
I bought this awhile ago (2018). Still don’t care for it. The grate you have to clean constantly. The small slits always get clog up. A little wind, it blows out the flame.
