Not grass seed, glorified mulch
Grass seed is not even listed in the ingredients. All it is, is a bag full of cheap mulch.

Tha product contains very little grass seed which causes spotty results. Would advise you go with plain grass seed. You’ll be better off.

Very poor product!
I have always had good luck with Scotts products, not this one. I applied the PatchMaster as directed on several spots on our lawn. It never did germinate well and then mold appeared. I have noticed that the existing grass is dying in the area adjoining the patches.
I am not happy at all, I have a much bigger problem now!

Didn’t even germinate! Making dog sick
This didn’t even germinate even when watering daily on new top soil. Also my dog has had diarrhea since the day after I put it down. I’m now trying to figure out how to remove it from the area.

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT-----life long user of Scotts product, 40+ years of satisfaction till now. Grass did not come up and was put down correctly and adhered to all guidelines and directions. Time to look to other lawn product companies-----not the dependable product once was.

A hard paper mache mess
I purchased this to fill in some damaged done by moles. I followed the directions. and waited….watered an waited….more waiting….Nothing except hard paper mache spots. I purchased 4 bags of this…never again…a total waste..

I had good luck with my seed. Put down in early spring with temperatures running colder than normal for my area and I have a strong showing of new grass with this product. I tilled a problem area of over 300 square feet, raked it smooth, applied the Patch Master and watered daily between rains. It took close to two weeks to really notice the grass coming up, but that was because of the colder than normal temps. It has been about a month since application and I have two inch grass growing nice and green, and would highly recommend this product,

Excellent results
Used this last fall. Read directions and did exactly as instructed. I now have grass on my dad’s grave after many attempts with other products and years of bald spots. Thank you Scott’s!
