Rated 1 out of 5 by from So awful!!! It RUINED my work! This thing is so horribly thick and streaky! It does NOT dry in a few hours, it's been 3 days now and the treated surface is still sticky! It is NOT clear! It is milky and not complementing at all. The name is basically misleading! I'm so upset, I wish I read the reviews before I bought this product! :((( It looks and acts like the worst scenario POLYCRYLIC but not like a normal polyurethane. Please, do yourself a favor and look for a better product that doesn't promise what it can't really deliver. Would I recommend the product to a friend? Seriously? I wouldn't recommend it to an enemy. Streaks, horrible brush marks, bubbles, not drying properly or in time, not looking as polyurethane, even though it's called so. Very very thick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from !!!!!!!!!!!BEST IDEA SENTS SLICE BREAD! !!!!!!!!!! I've been reading reviews about how bad this product is ( one coat 3x polyurethane ) and I like to say those people are nuts. I've been working with wood for years building tables, chairs, bars, barstools, ect. People think that diy projects when finished it should look as if they bought it at a store. Get it through your head people it's not store bought now it's refinish. So yes you will have miner flaws. I'm 52 and that's DAMM !!!! Good product. I'm glad you all came up with it mighty thankful. Ok Ile get of my soap box.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No luck Thought I would try this while re finishing my grandmothers old dresser that has been passed down. It seemed to work ok everywhere but the flat top. I can back to check how it was drying and it had bubbles in several spots and several streaks specifically on the edges. Sanded it down to try again and still streaks on edges no matter how much I apply. Hopefully I can sand it down and just apply a normal oil based finish but not sure if that will work if the underlayer is water based. I’m very disappointed. Of all the years and projects I have done I have not had this issue with normal finishes

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not terrible with consideration but not amazing Lots of reviews here about brushtrokes visible and other issues. I read all these after I bought it and decided to try it out on the bottom of my work first, it wasn't terrible so I used it on the entire table. Basically, this stuff is thick and dries super fast. You CANNOT go over the same area with the brush again after more than a few seconds from the first application or it will leave very visible strokes, however if you go over it really quick a few times to even it out within like 15 seconds, it leaves essentially no strokes at all. Very finicky stuff not the easiest to use. I am considering using a super fine sandpaper to smooth it just a little and do a 2nd coat and then doing a super fine sand/polish, but the strokes from my super-fast application are very minor except one spot I went over it again after ~60 seconds of being applied. Probably wouldn't get again... a bit of minor patience for a wipe on or regular applying a few coats over a few days seems a lot easier in the end... not sure what urgent situation this type of coating would be needed, maybe a functional project or class project as a learning thing... but yea not really that great, wouldn't get it again for most things.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Highly not recommended I am an experienced, non-professional painter and recently used this product to seal my bathroom cabinets. I typically use a polycrylic sealer and wanted to try this due to the durability and clear coat. I followed instructions and carefully painted. The outcome was awful and now will need to sand down to redo the mess! It dries quickly therefore makes it hard to work with. It is thick and shows brush strokes and as well as a slightly white residue (which can be seen on light colored paint). It does not level which leaves a bumpy finish. I would stay away from using this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! I professionally refinish furniture & have been using another brand of poly. I bought this at a discount store & thought I would give it a try. I absolutely love this stuff! I used it in my sprayer & it sprayed beautifully. It only takes 2 sprays to complete a project where my other brand takes 3-4. I will definitely be using this in the future. Happy I found it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product if used right! I’m not sure why this gets bad reviews. I applied this to refinished kitchen and bathroom. I applied it with both a rag (like you’d use for staining) and a sponge brush and both times it worked great. You do have to work fast. It does the job much quicker than other product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Leaves a lot to be desired! I was cautiously optimistic about this product after reading the reviews. It was a disappointing experience. The consistency was like spreading Elmer's Glue - same color too. It was much more difficult getting an even, thin coat of poly on my oak dresser - compared to other Minwax poly I've used in the past. To get a consistent finish I had to apply 3 coats while constantly brushing with the grain to even each coat and lightly sand between each coat, and still, the finish isn't the same quality as using other poly products. The only saving grace is that it does dry quickly.
