PLASTIC TRASH IN MY SOIL
I purchased 10 bags of nature care raised bed soil to top off my six garden beds. I found bunch of pieces of plastic bags and pieces of floor tile mixed in with the soil. THIS IS NOT ORGANIC IN ANY WAY. Now I have six garden beds contaminated with this trash. Who knows what else is in the soil. I do not recommend this product to anyone.

Wires&plastic mixed into Organic soil
The product claims to be premium organic soil, but I would have to disagree. There should not be shredded bits of hard plastic and electrical wires mixed into the bags of soil being sold to consumers. Especially the product is marketed as organic!

wish I would have seen the reviews
these were on close out at a big box store, thought with the name Miracle Grow they would be good, bought 40 bags, once I read the reviews cut them open full of plastic, trash and other debris, certainly not suitable for growing, I have a ditch that I dumped them in, pure garbage

Plastic shreds and wire pieces in the soil
I purchased 8 bags of Nature's Care Organic Raised Bed Soil. Every bag had a few pieces of plastic shreds and some small pieces of wire as well as some material fibers. I would not even in expect this in ordinary potting mix. I then read other reviews on your website and it seems this is not isolated and has been going on for years. Also one bag had a foul odor (like sewage). Can you please explain why this condition exists in your soil?? Is this safe to use or do I throw it out and buy something else?

Full of melted plastic pieces
I bought two bags of this product for the first time today and both bags were littered with melted plastic bags, pieces of hard plastic, clear plastic shards, wire, what look to be old kitchen twist ties, and a wrapper from hard candy. Sections of the "soil" appear to have been in a fire as they are gray and ashy in color. NOT what I call organic! What chemicals may be present??

Trash in a bag
I bought this a month ago to be added into my organic compost garden. To my surprise it had lot of garbage, plastics and glass pieces and lot of twigs.Anyway I put it into my soil and found it has lot of bugs. Now the leaves of all my plants are consumed by these bugs.

Plastic bits found throughout soil
Wow, I should have read the reviews before purchasing. I bought 6 bags of Nature's Care Organic Raised Bed Soil in June 2020. I see that I'm not the only one that found bits of plastic trash in my bags and I'm especially disappointed that this is an old issue that has yet to be resolved. I didn't start noticing all the plastic bag pieces which are an inch or less in size, until I had already planted everything and watered the beds. I don't want a refund, I want to see Miracle Gro to finally correct this ongoing issue!!

Full of Trash
I do not know how this product could be organic. Every bag is full of pieces of plastic, bark, glass. I have never had issues with products from this company before.

So unhappy
The gnats are overwhelming. I’ve been bitten badly and the itching is insane. Now, I’ve noticed what I believe to be is a fungus of some type starting in the soil around the beans. Nowhere else. I have 2 above ground planters that are large. I don’t want my crop ruined. I took a photo below. Does anyone know what this is and what to do? I’m so upset.

Biggest waste of money.
I built multiple raised beds and used only this soil in them. I probably bought around 30 bags so I spent a lot of money, but I wanted to start my garden off right.
Any plants planted in them, stopped growing. Anything planted from seed would die after they sprouted.
Meanwhile plants planted in the regular dirt from my yard flourished. So disappointing.
What did grow well from the soil well was a lot of mushrooms. I get those a lot.

Terrible soo. Do not buy. Full of garbage
I do not understand why, after so many indications that this product is literally full of trash, nothing has been done to improve the quality. I put some in my beds today and could t believe what I was finding. And somehow...I uhad to go online to find out if I was the only one who got totally duped on this soil. Nope! Full of trash...across the board. No quality control on this product. I literally found a whole pen in one bag. Horrible.

Garbage. Really it was full of garbage.
I didn’t even think of reading the reviews. I’ve used miracle grow for years and have always been very happy. I always thought they were standard to each other soils could be measured. But I was so overwhelmingly disappointed after filling my new raised bed with a ton of soil, literally one ton, only to realize it contained shredded plastic, metal, glass and god know what else. I could not be more heartbroken. Now what? Had to get my veggies in but now I’m nervous for my little ones to eat harvest let alone help me garden.

Do Not Buy
We have used other miracle grow soils in the past and have been very pleased. This year we purchased about 35 bags of Nature’s care for our raised garden. It smells terrible and after one day our garden is covered in gnats. I do not recommended this product at all. Now I need to redo our entire garden.

Full of plastic, glass, sticks and rocks.
I just bought 11 bags of this garbage for my raised bed. It is full of plastic pieces, plastic bag pieces, sticks, rocks and who knows what else. It also smells very strongly of hydrogen sulfide. After spreading it out i felt light headed.

sad!
Made a big raised garden bag using and invested in a bunch of organic vegetables. Didn't notices that this soil had spider mites which are ALL OVER every inch of the raised garden bed. it is disgusting. So disappointing! DO NOT BUY. I just opened up a bag I hadn't used and they were already crawling around.

Smells foul
I recently bought this for some large fabric containers. The soil smells horrible, like strong cow manure. There are literally flies all over it after I put into my containers. I bought this exact soil last year and it didn't smell like cow manure. It is super strong and I hope the smell dissipates and is safe for my plants....

Not great - garbage in a bag
I purchased 55 bags of this for my raised beds. With a name like “Nature’s Care” organic soil I’d expect a decent product. Not so much. 2 days after filling the beds we had a big rain. The soil didn’t drain very well so I expect I will need to amend it before I plant. No big deal really. The big surprise was all the plastic garbage and wires that were exposed in the soil by the rain. I picked out probably a cup and a half garbage. This is just the the stuff I could see on the surface. So I’m sure there’s plenty more where that came from. I did see another review that complained about this but I assume miracle Gro had fixed this problem they couldn’t possibly continue to sell garbage in a bag. I guess I was wrong. I was sold on the price but You get what you pay for.

Buyer Beware
I bought this last week, and wished I did more research. This “organic” product comes with plastic and glass in the soil. I bought 5 bags of this stuff and opened 2 bags and garbage was in them both. I’m glad I didn’t get cut, once I found the glass I stopped immediately because I can’t trust this product, neither should you.

I am still comparing results
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It seems to be better than others that I have tried. It holds moisture better than straight peat moss mixed into the soil and it produced bigger plants. I would recommend to others. Easy to use and didn't need to be broken apart like otherproducts I have used.

Just add water and you could have a bug explosion
I used this soil in several household plants(inside the house). There were bugs here and there coming from the soil. It's to be expected. Today apparently was the big day for all the flies to appear at once. Thousands. They were mostly in the living room where one of the well-watered plants was formerly housed. This morning there was a fly explosion in the kitchen as well. There is sadly another plant in the kitchen that had this terrible product in it. Thousands of flies on our clean dishes and my wife's food as she prepared her lunch for work. Simply a disaster.
I have to remove every plant from my house as this product was used for mostly all the interior plants.
I wish I could post a video to see all the flies in motion. Disgusting!
DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!

Full of Plastic
Well, I wish I had come here to read the only other review before buying a pallet of this material. Like the only other review here, my soul was filled with trash. Green, yellow, blue and white hard plastic chips. Shredded plastic bags. Plastic fiber sinews. This from an organic product. I wasn’t as careful when first opening them as I had much space to fill. But as I got to the top of my beds, I needed to break the soil up more carefully to distribute it. Every bag had trash in it. I kept opening, just to see, and the garbage kept coming. And this from an “organic” product. With the number of bags and their weight, it is such a pain to return, not to mention the labor it would take to clean out my beds now. Never buy this trash.
