Failed second time out
I bought a new B&D trimmer because the first one failed to feed after years of use. The second time out, the new one does the opposite. It has no control over feeding so I can go through an entire spool, of factory-wound line no less, in as little as 50' of trimming. Grass triggers the auto-feed. It literally just spits it out. I have a corded one that works great, but I need a cordless for the far reaches of my property. I will not be buying another B&D after this experience.

Light-weight, performs well
I bought this over a year ago and it is still going. I did have to buy an extra battery, but i have a bigger yard. I definitely would recommend this.

Great Trimmer!
This is my 4th Black & Decker Trimmer/Edger in the past 19 years, and my 2nd of this model. All of them have worked great. They're light weight, and perfect for my yard.

Awful assembly
Coming from a mechanical engineer, the assembly of the handle is too extremely difficult. There is an easier way to assemble the handle rather than bending and shoving plastic.

This is a good trimmer but an just ok edger. It uses a lot of string.

Trimmer works great!
I have bought Black+Decker products for years and have always been pleased with their service. This new trimmer is really great. I trim my entire yard before I mow but it takes two batteries to do it (I have a fenced backyard). This trimmer does everything I expect a battery powered trimmer to do. And the edging feature makes my work easier. I am very pleased with this trimmer and highly recommend it.

Unfortunately, hate this trimmer!
I had a Grass Hog trimmer for years that I loved, but it died last summer and I had to replace it. Unfortunately, that model has been discontinued and I bought the LST300. When I rest the edge guard along my sidewalk to edge, it gouges a big thick space between the grass and sidewalk rather than a nice neat line. With this one, I have to stand on the grass rather than the sidewalk to trim neatly. It seems that the edge guard is too far away from the string line and it won't move up out of the way when trimming. It was also so much easier to change from trim to edge with the Grass Hog...just a simple lift and turn rather than having to loosen up then tighten the handle every time you are switching back and forth. I'm sure it is for safety reasons, but it is harder having to hold down the trigger switch too. I have a number of Black & Decker yard tools, blower, hedge trimmer, clippers, etc and have no problems with them but this item frustrates me every time I use it!
