Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Portable Radio This radio is what it is, its a portable job site radio not a mega boom box. It runs on 12v/18v/20v Dewalt batteries, it will run for days on a 18v battery, what more could you want. Plays from external source through AUX cable, will charge your USB device. Good FM & AM reception. If your looking for a rugged, portable, affordable radio then this is the one. If your looking for Bluetooth, MP3 player, stereo boom box, spend the extra $100 and get the next model up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Radio - How to Fix Volume Knob I've had this radio for years and it's fantastic. About a year ago, the volume knob started to behave erratically. Sometimes it would turn the volume down while you turned the knob clockwise or vice versa. It got worse and worse and about a month ago it stopped being able to turn the volume down at all. I looked for replacement parts and never found them, so I contacted mouser and here's the part number for the circuit board component that controls the volume: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/652-PEC12R-4125F-N12 Hope that helps anyone with the same issue get back to enjoying their otherwise fantastic radio!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good basic worksite radio This is a good basic worksite radio. It is compact and will fit into restricted spaces easily. It has good basic sound, but do not expect it to sound as good as larger, more expensive radios. I use 20VMAX batteries with it, and oddly they do not lock in place, which is a minor disappointment. The battery stays in place pretty well, but I would have preferred that it lock in place. I have only had the radio briefly, but It looks solid and I expect good service from it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Volume knob quits working I love this jobsite radio. I never take it with me on the job, but always sits on the shelf in the garage to listen to music when I am working. It never drops to the floor in my entire time in the garage. One day I try to boost the volume and it quits working. I can't increase or decrease the volume. It is a dead end.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not worth the money Pros & Cons (pros)- compact and easy to travel, and can use 18 and 20 V batteries. Decent price. (Cons)- Terrible sound quality. Muffled sound and no EQ, The farther you get from it the harder it is to make out lyrics. Does not charge batteries, but looks like it would or should. No bluetooth capability and no power outlet like other dewalt radios. Also cant charge your Iphone 7 or higher while plugged into the headphone jack even if plugged into a power outlet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compact and Durable Good sound and loudness for the size. I use it the garage, outdoors and with battery packs while camping. Perfect for portible use. 12V max do not last long and it's too bad it doesn't also charge the battery packs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound and durability! Just bought it today. It was very easy and intuitive to set up and use straight out of the box. Love its durability, so when we bring it into the yard, we won't worry if it gets knocked over. The sound is excellent and we love having the time display as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Limited lifespan I bought this radio for my husband for Christmas. We stored it in the garage and he used it as his garage radio. It hasn't been in the weather or taken to job sites. The volume button stopped working within 2 years. I have gotten longer use out of an off brand radio than one that's marketed for the work site. Not worth the money.
