Not just for marine use.
I bought this to do some transom repairs. It did not fail to do what I needed. I have used it to seal building penetrations (electrical & plumbing). All have remained weather tight. It has never failed (as long as I follow the directions) to provide positive results. The only complaint I have is I don't always need a full tube. Smaller packaging (1 oz.) would be great.

Best Product ever....
We have been using 5200 for so many years and we just love it. In 2017 days before Irma and Maria - two CAT 5 hurricanes hit the US. Virgin Islands. We were putting a railing on our deck outside and it is a tile deck so we didn't want to screw it in as it would crack the tile. We used 5200 to secure the bases of the posts. Not only did they make it through TWO CAT 5 hurricanes but 5 years later they are all standing. You got to love this product. We also used it on a plastic drawer from the freezer that broke. Just a dab of 5200 and it is fixed. It's like the old saying it's not broke if you have duct tape. This product is far superior to anything we have every used. We also used it around the kitchen sink. You will never be disappointed with 5200.

Great sealant for pond and submersible pumps
I sealed the gaskets between thick epdm liner and skimmer and overflow unit of my pond with 5200, perfecto ! Additionally, I sealed the internal and external gasket of a (supposedly) submersible pumpS that let introduce small amount of water into it (and destroyed the motor after some time). 5200 (you need to be patient) is the best adhesive tested, regarding other glues. And because it has some flexibility, it's better than epoxy in case of vibrations. And the seal is kept OK even in the winter (Quebec = -30 celsius), embedded in strong ice.

Literally the best sealant
I've used 5200 for a number of applications, the most critical of which was for the installation of two large brass port hole windows on a house.
This was in an area that is bordered by the ocean on one side and the bay on the other. The windows were mounted with 21 lag bolts and flashed/sealed with 5200. Created an absolutely water and wind proof seal as well as adding some additional structural strength.
Yes, it's pricey but it's also necessary when dealing with critical installations.

No-brainer for inflatable boat repair
Tried this after reading some great reviews in various dingy forums re: transom repairs, specifically reattaching the PVC flooring where it meets the transom. PVC giue won’t stick to wood, but hypalon glue will, yadda yadda yadda. Tried it, didn’t work like previous PVC repairs.
Enter the 5200. Not only did it stick the PVC fabric to the wood but it held like iron, and I have enjoyed many many hours in a boat that was destined for the nearest dumpster box.

Repaired vinyl pool liner
In spite of the fact that the specs do not indicate its use for vinyl, I used this two years ago to apply a large patch/repair to my vinyl pool liner. The hole in the liner that was originally cut to accommodate the water supply/return from the pump had become significantly stretched to the point the original seals were not effective. I wanted to apply new material to both sides of the liner and I needed a bonding agent that was not a "fast setting". Using flexible, heavy gauge vinyl I cut and applied patches to both sides of the liner using generous amounts of 5200 on both sides. I allowed two days for the sealant to set before cutting a new hole through the patch. It worked perfectly and has continued to hold for two years.
