Easy clean and boils in no time... That's it...
I Purchased this stove over the weekend, my first experience with this stove is its big. The stove has heaps of room for two big pans. Everything seem sturdy and works well, its great not having to need a light for the stove so one less thing to forget when camping. The lid stay is a little flimsy and really scratches up a new camp stove real quick, which is super disappointing. Being able to used small bottles and larger gas bottles is a really good option, its the same fitting as our gas BBQ, which is part of the reason we chose this camp stove as there is less hoses changes when changing cooking options. For features I would like to see rubberised feet as appose to plastic as the are a tad slippery on hard surfaces adding rubber is always and option if needed, however, would love to see this from the factory.
Then I lit the stove for the first time, man there is some heat. Its like there are two suns in the bottom of your camp stove. So after cooking my first breakfast of eggs and bacon you really need to be watching your food burning, as the heat coming out of this down low is like 50% of the suns rays all at once. Even right down low you can't look into the fire its that hot. Lifting pans, stirring then keep the pan at a reasonable height to not burn everything to ash is out of control. So after my first run of bacon chips and egg cardboard was done I actually found it really easy to keep clean, which is a bonus, as there was a world of fat from the bacon all over the stove.
I found the control knobs seem to bounce back after you put them down low, bring the heat back up again. I feel there needs to be some change here as its almost impossible to not burn anything. The stove as it is would only be good if you were boiling water all the time, don't cook anything else otherwise it will burn.
PROs: Looks, cleanability, space, heat, easy light, carry handle is sturdy, storage for regulator.
CONs: No simmer, lid latch scratches stove, slippery feet, inner cooking plate diameter (needs to be a tad smaller for my coffee percolator.
Its going to be hard to keep this in my camping gear if we can't get the simmer to work for us.

Expensive kettle..only suitable for boiling water
Great unit, light weight, easy to use.
Unfortunately that's where it stops. It burns so hot, which is great for boiling water but it isn't suitable for any other cooking, except with a wok. No matter how low you turn the burner it is impossible to get a even simmer.
I'd suggest a replacement pan support which can lift pans further from the burner.
Another issue is the terrible high pitch whistle the stove makes when you turn it on.
This wasn't a cheap stove, in fact I'd go so far as to say its not really a stove... Just an expensive way to boil a cuppa.
It has made me think twice about purchasing another Coleman stove.

Too hot, burns food
The stove burns too hot and the gas can't be throttled low enough to cook food. It burns food, and is only good for boiling water. Do not buy this product!

It is a sturdy stove, very very hot
This is a nice stove if you are looking to boil water in a hurry. The burners seem to only have two settings, off and very hot. Use caution when cooking something that can boil over, as it is very difficult to clean under the burners when in the field. The wind gaurd worked well, as I did not have any issue with keeping a flame, but again, I would have to turn it on and off to keep from burning the food. The sparker worked well, and it stores well, there is a place to store regulator when not in use so that it is not lost in the off season.
