Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dewalt 30degree Framing Gun Can’t drive in 3” and up nails. I’ve even tried a 6 to 9amp battery and adjusted the depth still with no luck. The nailer wasn’t even used to its fullest potential maybe it was defective not sure pretty bummed out about it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Plenty of Power, Very Few Jams [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this framer for about 11 months now. I'm a roofing contractor in Florida and I specialize in roof repair. We are always needing to sister on a 2x4 to a rafter and do some basic framing. This thing is perfect for the job. Fits in some tight spots and NO COMPRESSOR! Saves so much time. I use the standard nails from the big box store and have maybe one jam every other strip. It's usually because I hit a hurricane strap or something. The two settings are useful because this thing will overdrive a nail on the high setting. Plenty of power. Also, it runs for a long time on the 5AH batteries. Overall, love this tool for what its meant to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Real time saver [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the last three years I have purchased 25 cordless Dewalt power tools and one of my favorites is this cordless nailer. It takes my Paslode nails and not needing to have a compressor or air hose has been wonderful. I was concerned at first that it would be able to keep up but I have never had to wait on it to shoot a nail. At first I has an issue with double fires but none since I got used to the gun. From other reviews I had concern about it not sinking the nails. Not been a problem for me. Great buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough and powerful [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in November to do some repairs to my home. I’m a DIYer and usually have nobody available to assist me. I have a pneumatic nailer but working on a ladder, holding a piece of wood or siding and dealing with a dangling air line is just too dangerous for me. I can place the wood or siding shoot one nail to hold it in place and then complete the nailing job hands free. This nailer is reliable, never jams and sets the nails exactly where I want it. Love this thing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life saver! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 2 of these guns a couple of months ago. We love them. They are a lot better than I expected. I’m a custom home builder and have been in the industry for got 22 yrs. we use primarily all dewalt tools. We have table saw, miter saws, circular saws , drills , batter tools of all kinds. I like the quality of the dewalt tools and I buy them with confidence that they will last. I’ve had a dewalt miter saw for 20 yrs and it’s still going strong. There’s quite a few of the new dewalt battery tools I want to purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressive! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this gun right around Christmas, took an hour or so to get familiar with it and used it on and off for a while. The nails I used were not made for this gun but worked fine, no jams at all, just need to have it on setting 2. I framed a whole wall just to see what it was capable of. Would I choose it over air? No. Would I if it meant getting a generator out for a compressor? Definitely! Yes this is a great gun to have for a small job where there is no power! Just take the time to read over the booklet you get and you'll understand the fine parts of this gun. Down side is the weight, but you'll have killer biceps after a day's work! Overall, great thing to have if you're in a bind... Or if you don't like hoses I guess!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and relatively light. Easy to clear j [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this in framing out a greenhouse. I was tired of dragging horses around. I did not count, but I went through a lot of nails without a battery change and it had good power to drive the nails.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good solid nailry No jams yet. Only complaints are it’s a bit heavy for my old arms and the nail slot advance won’t advance nails easily after loading new nails. I have to monkey with it. Good overall unit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very convenient [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the convenience of this framing nailer. No air to deal with. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve grabbed my other nailer just to shoot a few nails and nothing. I would either have to run to the lumber yard to get more air or have to drive them by hand. While that convenience is worth it there are a couple of downsides. The gun is heavier than I am used to. This isn’t a dealbreaker because I think this nailer has a place amongst my other framing nailers. It’s great for putting together headers, corners and Ts and definitely when you need to shoot a few nails here or there. Secondly, the gun, when depressed, must cycle up before shooting. It’s only a moment but definitely noticeable. The sequential mode improves this a great deal but will run the battery down a little faster. This isn’t a dealbreaker either. It just takes a little getting used to. Above all the convenience of no air to deal with makes it worth having in my tool bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Framers, remodelers and Homeowners all want this! I was on the fence about the power and lasting use of batteries with a "no-hose,no-gas" framing gun. That's over because I got the Dewalt 30° angled framing nailer, and Iam so happy I did. Right off the bat, I put a 4 amp hour battery in with some 2" sheathing nails and brought back some warped T1-11 nice and straight, then went over that area with Pressure Treated 2x6. I used 3 1/4 nails in the framer and it drove that nail through the 2x6, through the 3/4" T1-11 and into the framing of the building, pulling the pressure treated 2x6 sucked right against the sheathing. I was impressed. I then jump inside the shop and hung a bunch 2x4's and 2x6's in preparation to insulate and sheath the inside of the shop. Also built a few shop benches and saw horses to use during the remodel. All in all, I shot 3,000 nails and not a single loss of power, speed and didnt jam not a single time. A single 4 amp hour battery would get you through almost a full day of heavy use. Framers want this to not only get into hard to reach places, but the ease of not fight ok ng a hose all day and with the shortened nail clip and compact design it fits right into 16" on center framing. That's key. Remodelers Dream! No more dragging a compressor, hose and a gun just throw in a few sheetrock nailers are full studs around a door or window. Homeowners can sheath the inside of the garage amd run shelving all the way around organizing your life! A shed for the wife or a treehouse for the kids, this Dewalt framer is for you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Substantial upgrade, night and day difference [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously owned the first generation of this tool, and it did ok in some scenarios, but in harder materials and instances where the framing had some flex-it just wasn’t good enough. Fast forward to this latest version, and wow, what a difference. I have been putting nails in all over my property and it sinks 3” ringshanks with ease. For testing I’ve been shooting fence posts old and new, spf framing, beams, and subfloor and it’s been very fast and impressive. I haven’t had it long enough to comment on durability, but the power is amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy to use, no messing with fuel cells! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used older models of this gun and always loved them. Compared to a Paslode they are a breeze to use. Probably wouldn’t use this to sheet a whole roof or anything but It’s definitely capable of doing so. The only downside would be the weight, it’s a little heavy. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful and Convenient! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the 20v Framing Nailer for 2 weeks now and I only wish I had bought it long before. It is powerful enough to work in my crews and for small jobs it saves all the time of setting up a compressor and air lines! Easily drives a 3 1/2 inch framing nail through every type of wood I've used it on. I would highly recommend this Nailer to anyone and especially for those where time is money, it will pay for itself quickly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best for Pickup Framing [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Am I ready to ditch my air compressor and pneumatic nail guns? Not yet, but the more I use the DCN692, the more I appreciate the hassle free portability. It is a great tool for pickup framing work, and it really can do just about anything that a traditional pneumatic nail gun can do. On our jobsites today, there is one less air hose strung about. My only complaint (and it’s a minor one) is the ramp up time in sequential mode takes a little getting used to – but it’s a small price to pay vs lugging a compressor and hose out for every job. Great tool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shoulder saver [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a month ago and previously, driving nails manually was putting unnecessary strain on my back and shoulder. This also saved me on time by allowing me to save energy by not hammering, but also able to get walks framed in half the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tool [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this nail gun for a few small projects. It passed my expectations for a cordless nailer. The nail drive was consistent and I never had any problems with jammed nails. The batteries I used also lasted a substantial amount of time. This is a great option for a cordless nail gun.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I'm Convinced I've had my eye on this gun for a while and finally pulled the trigger. I put a fully charged 6AH battery on and filled it with 3'1/2'' nails and prayed that it would be worth the money. I was blown away at the power. I've seen videos and reviews but you can't really know until you try it out yourself. Bump feature was the selling point for me. I've shot bout 10k nails through it in 8mo and it's all good. I'm done with hoses and cords. It's heavy almost 14lbs w/bat & nails and if you can't hang then you probably identify as a weak, soft as cotton millennial type

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely LOVE this nailer [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this nailer for 3 months now and I love it. A few things that I have learned are: There was a small break-in period where when using a clipped head nail I was getting a double fire. Use no less than a 4ah battery. Wont shoot ring shank nails real well. Other than that this thing has worked flawlessly. I have used it almost every day doing a large house build that I am working on right now. The only bad thing I do not like about it is the plastic rafter hook. I wish this was metal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I bought this nailer when it first came out, I couldn’t be more pleased. It took some time to get it set up as the nails wouldn’t always be flush. I’d recommend this nailer, I’d have no hesitation in purchasing another Dewalt Framing Nailer. The battery lasts a very long time, most days I can get through a whole day before changing for a fresh one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wallet muncher After just 5000 official dewalt nails needs new mechanical carriage, firing pin, labour and materials half the cost of the Gun. By pulling and holding the trigger the unit flashes 5 times to prove the nails fired.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gun, saves so much time. Like the idea of not pounding with a hammer anymore, the gun gets nails in tight places & get the job done quick. Drives 3 " nails with no problem. Even for small jobs I would not be without it. Love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Nailer until now! Purchased the framing nailer about a year ago and haven't had any issues with it when the batteries are fully charged to start with. Use it on an almost daily basis with no issues until now with it jamming and not able to clear the jam. It's going in for service which with the amount of usage it probably needs anyways. Still very pleased with the gun other than the weight of it! Little cumbersome to be carrying on a belt when doing rough framing. I have several other of the DeWalt battery guns and have nothing but good things to say about them to other contractors that I deal with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product with longevity! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product about one year ago and still one of the best purchases I have ever made. I've framed whole basements off of 2 60v batteries, and that's no lie. At first it seemed it wouldn't make the cut and I thought it was going to be a for sure return, but I was wrong. Once the spring became wore in, it became more powerful than expected. I've also done siding all day without having to change a 60v battery but once. If it gets jambed it's the easiest system to retrieve the nail out of the firing mechanism. With just two hex screws to loosen, the spring will automatically retract. I recommend this product for anyone out in the bare lands with no power near or for you everyday framer, this product is a beast!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great I use this multiple times per week, mostly to repair pallets for shipping. Works awesome. I use mostly 2.625" nails (or roughly that size). Sometimes use 3" nails. Gun drives them in just fine. On the hardest wood, it won't drive the 3" nail all the way though, but on normal hardness it does. This tool is a huge time saver. I can't do without it.
