Spectracide Fire Ant Shield Mound Destroyer Granules is a deep-reaching formula for use directly on fire ant mounds. Made with our exclusive Accelerator II technology to speed the release of the active ingredient into the mound, this product starts to kill in minutes. It kills the queen and colony in 24 hours and limits new mound formation. Use these granules to treat new mounds as they appear - sprinkle over and 2 feet around each mound. For best results, apply Spectracide Fire Ant Shield Mound Destroyer Granules in morning or evening hours. At these times, fire ants are closer to the surface, virtually ensuring the product will contact them. Water in gently, as high-pressure spray may disturb ants and cause migration, reducing product effectiveness.

Very effect for getting rid of those pesky ants!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every year we get several ant mounds that pop up on the far side of our house. My little one has started to venture towards that side and we decided that we finally have to do something about the hills because the sting from those ants can be dangerous. Well, after applying the granules and water, the ants were gone the very next day! We will still continue to keep an eye on the area, but so far so good!

Kills fire ant quickly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Need to get rid of several fire any mounds and fast. Put out in the evening and in less than 24 hours my fire ant problem was gone. The Spectracide fire ant shield mound destroyer really acted fast and got the job done. 3 weeks later and still no reoccurring ant activity. Great product.

Goodbye Ant Hills!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You treat each fire ant mound that you have and almost over night the mound is dormant. Sometimes they move to another area but I have treated the rest of the yard with yard protection by spectricide. If they run they will get caught.

Great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging on this is sturdy. That’s the first thing I noticed. I used this in my backyard on a few ant mounds and it works wonders. I will continue to use this. It’s very fast acting and the mounds I have used it on have not come back.

Easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is very easy to use and with the resealed bag it make storage a breeze. All you do it sprinkle the product on the beds add a little water and the ain’t beds are dead! It’s very fast like 24hrs later.

WOW...Fast Working!!

I put it on there three days ago and there isn't a live ant to be found!! We have big problems with ant mounds all over our yard and have tried many different kinds, I would have to say, this one is the best!! What else is great, it helps stop other mounds from forming!!
