The Nite Ize Figure 9 Carabiner tightens, tensions, and secures ropes without knots. Whether tethering a canoe to your vehicle, anchoring boxes to a dolly, or bundling wood, this carabiner secures large loads quickly and keeps tension where you need it. Loop your rope through its strategically designed prongs, pull it tight, and it stays that way. A smart alternative to complicated cam-locking tensioning devices and bungee cords, the Figure 9 Carabiner also controls the release of high tension, avoiding sudden and dangerous unloading.

I really like the Nite Ize Figure 9s, Figure 9 carabiners, and Cam Jams. I don't have to try to remember knots or how to tie them. For someone with limited fine motor skills they are incredibly useful for securing loads, tents, tarps, etc.

I really like the Nite Ize Figure 9s, Figure 9 carabiners, and Cam Jams. I don't have to try to remember knots or how to tie them. For someone with limited motor skills they are incredibly useful for securing loads, tents, tarps, etc.

Amazing and speeds things up!
I use two of these to secure my hammock when I go camping. It saves me so much hassle with getting the ends secured evenly. It only takes me about five minutes to set up now since I don't have to fuss with constantly tying and untying knots.
