Very poor 😩
Im extremely disappointed with this product.
My previous purse pole was brilliant until stolen.
The new one seems impressive to begin with but it now fails to stay in position. Only about 3 months old. Very poor

"Terrible bad" threaded locking mechanism tip
I have been buying This custom adjusting extension pole. Its threaded tip locking mechanism DOES NOT last long enough, It breaks easily. there is NO way to find it online and /or in Store and get it as a replacement part to be replaced.

Great Extension Pole
Love this pole!! Great locking system and very sturdy!! Love the sliding adjustment and not having fixed ajustements!! The rubber on the pole gives extra comfort and anti-slip!! The locking system works really well!
Bought both the roller cage with extension pole and just loce this power lock system!!

Excellent length
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this for about 17 years now. Easily gives me the textile feel at the roller head for even application.

Doesn't lock in place
I bought the 2-4 foot pole about a month ago and the locking mechanism is trash already. Every time I extend the pole and roll down a wall it's the short length by the bottom.

Fast to remove frame
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 3 different lengths of poles. Since the frame can be removed so quickly I have more flexibility to use the right length all day painting.

The Locking Mechanism is Bulky & I Don’t Care for that Button, I will say you folks had it right the first time with the metal clip locking mechanism , Simple, Slim, Basic, Functional, like the Sherlock, hope you guys get it right on the next model, bring back the original pole, I have a couple of extra poles yet, everyone is going Sherlock, why did you change a hood thing?

How do you mess up a pole?
I have been a painter for 23 years and this is the worst pole I have ever used. I purchased multiple poles for each of the employees as part of a winter season bonus tool bundle. The lock mechanism’s on 4 out of 7 broke within two weeks.
I have been consistently noticing a drop in quality of all Purdy products since the Sherwin Williams acquisition over a decade ago.
A pole from harbor freight one of the apprentices uses outlasted this and it has less wobble when extended. I couldn’t believe it.
After 23 years My company will no longer be using purdy products. This was the last straw.

Good stability and durability
Surprised by the poor reviews. I’ve got two poles (one short, the other long). Work as a painter / decorator. Never had any issues with them. Often drop them or throw them in the van - still working fine after a few years. Wouldn’t buy anything else.
I find they give good stability and balance when used with a 12” adjustable frame, rather than a standard 9”.
Cost a bit more than other bands, but worth the extra. Buy cheap, buy twice.

Ok if your gentle
Get throught one a year if used a lot... I get how the product works and treat it with care.. Its very well constructed but has flaws... The overall design is poor and over complicated.. Materials are of excelkent quality.. Its, a bitter sweet pole.. If you take it apart you can turn the inner pole through 90 degrees and get a second go... The rubber butt cap does not always protect the glass fibre and some silly person cut a rectangle out right near the end to aid its quick demise..
If your gentle and respectfull this is ok to buy but if your a contracting animsl then it may not see you through..
The long pole is stiff and balanced and the aluminum profile aids in the non flex nature
For me the lock slips in the end so quite expensive for the life span..

Connecter tip broke off in roller handle
I've been painting for 35 years, and Purdy brushes are top quality. I purchased the 2-4 ft extension pole and Purdy roller for quick disconnects while painting a stucco house. Worked great for a while, then the tip broke off in the roller handle. Searched for a replacement tip, but they don't exist. Now I have a useless pole and a roller I can't use another extension pole with. Very disappointed. I'll stick with their brushes but nothing else.

Power Lock mechanism jammed
I own the 1'-2' Power Lock extension pole, it's a fantastic size, really handy, and perfect in small spaces. The only problem is the extension pole is jammed and will not retract. I'm so disappointed, I always buy Purdy as the quality is usually wonderful.

Good idea but not durable
I only use mine to paint my own house and thus have only used it maybe 20 times and it's already slipping and won't stay locked. Very poor quality for a "professional" product.
