Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far...so good I had my handyman do the installation. So I can't really review the ease of installation. This one replaced another Insinkerator product that lasted many years before passing away from old age and lots of use. The new one is quieter for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet The best thing about it is it is very quiet. Almost can't hear it if you have the water running.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great size, very quiet and easy to install From the instructions to the easy installation and its quiet operation, this disposal is awesome. Removing the old one and wiring this one to the electric and connecting dishwasher and other pipes probably only took an hour. The elbow coming out of the disposal is flexible which aids in connecting to the drain line. I was shocked at how super quiet it is...hardly know it's running. A great value and quality appliance! Highly recommend it to upgrade your kitchen. TIP: If you're doing this solo, use your car jack to help hold and raise the disposal in place so you can more easily twist it on the clamp under the sink drain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't be happier Easy installation. Clear instructions. Exceeds my expectations both in grinding performance and sound level. Way better than my old (failed) Waste King that Consumer Reports touted as so great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hard to install All of our last disposals has a plug in. You literally had to hook them to your sink and plug them in... this one? Not so much. This one we had to hard wire, which was a pain. Also the collar on the sink opening is extremely narrow, so when you are doing dishes, if the tiniest bit of food tried to go in the drain the sink will fill up with dirty water. So you are constantly having to put you hand down into the water and open up the collar so your water will drain. Its a pain. The power is great. The space saving design is great, but a few basic flaws.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent garbage disposal I've lived in the same house for 26 years. This is my second garbage disposal. It is amazingly quiet. 3/4 horse power tears thru anything is short order. I had a 1/3 horse power before and it was adequate but this new disposal is excellent. Lessons learned: 1) I had an insinkerator before and I could have used the old sink hardware fittings. I chose not to do that and I'm glad. I was able to put new plumber's putty down and I am well satisfied with the results. If your old one lasted much more than 5 or 10 years, I'd highly recommend doing this. 2) The 3/4 horse power disposal weighs a metric ton when you're laying on your back and underneath your sink. It was darn near impossible to line up the disposal with the new mount and spin it on. To get around this, I pulled the car jack (scissor jack) out of my Honda and slowly raised it into place. It worked like a champ. By slowly, I mean it didn't take but about 5 minutes to raise it, align it and spin it into place. If you're going to ironman this into place, you'll probably need two of you.
