Description
This contemporary console style grey and black humidifier is sure to complement any decor. Our humidifiers work by adding invisible moisture to your environment by moving dry air through a saturated wick. Maintaining proper humidity levels between 30-50% in your home/office/workplace has been scientifically proven to help prevent the flu and allergies. Proper humidity hydrates your skin, alleviates dry eyes, scratchy throats and can reduce snoring. It also protects fine furniture, musical instruments, collectibles and wood floors. Proper humidity makes you feel warmer allowing you to lower your thermostat setting which will save money. Use of a ceiling fan helps distribute moisture output. Use replacement wick HDC311.

Humidifies, but has drawbacks
I got this partly because it looked smallish, and partly because it was on sale. It does a good job of humidifying the air, and has a 9 speed fan to spread the water vapor. I usually kept the speed at 5, a compromise between humidifying and quietness. It has a large footprint, but it does have casters and can be moved around, if need be. Sometimes I couldn't get the fan speed to change, but I could never figure out why. The main thing that I don't like about it is that it uses a water wick, which must be changed at least yearly. If your water has a high mineral content, it will need to be changed more often. You could use distilled water, but that might be 1 or 2 gallons a day. After buying this model, you will forever be buying a water wick for it. For that reason, I wouild not recommend it.
